may from time to time declare that any leasing authority
shall be subject to the provisions of the said Act, but that
no such Order shall have any effect unless it be issued at
the request or upon the recommendation of the leasing
authority on whose behalf such Order is issued :

And whereas it has been made to appear that the Board
of Governors of the Waimate High School are a leasing
authority within the meaning of the said Act, and have re-
quested that they may be brought under the provisions
thereof :

Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir James Prendergast,
the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and exer-
cise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the
said Act, doth hereby order and declare that from and after
the date hereof the Board of Governors of the Waimate
High School shall be subject to the provisions of “The
Public Bodies’ Powers Act, 1887.”

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
eighth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act
Amendment Act, 1888,” I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zea-
land, do hereby notify and declare that

THOMAS JAMES COTTER,

being a person holding the office of Postmaster, under “The
Post Office Act, 1881,” at Bullendale, is authorised to take
and receive statutory declarations under the two hundred
and thirty-fourth section of “The Justices of the Peace Act,
1882.”
