As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land District of Taranaki.

GLASGOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Land District of Taranaki described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the description of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI.

ALL that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block II., Pouatu Survey District. Bounded towards the north, east, and south by a public road ; towards the south-west by Section No. 3, Block II., Pouatu, 1327·9 links ; excepting therefrom a track in use pending construction of road-line : as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For a public-school site.

All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 25 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 7, Block I., Pouatu Survey District. Bounded towards the north and east by the Waitara River ; towards the south-west by a public road ; and towards the west by a road-reserve along the Waitara River : as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For a reserve for travelling stock.
