Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Ngaruawahia Town Board.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Ngaruawahia Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

Notice is hereby given that, in terms of section 39 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” the number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal to borrow £300 towards the cost of the erection of a bridge over the Waipa River at Ngaruawahia was 107; against the proposal, none.
I therefore declare the resolution carried.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.—MERGING OF WHAINGAROA ROAD DISTRICT.
Special Order.
Resolution adopted 26th August, 1896; confirmed, 25th November, 1896:—
“That it be a special order of the Raglan County Council that the Whaingaroa Road Board be dissolved, and the Whaingaroa Road District be merged in the Raglan County. Such order to take effect from date of gazetting same.”
I hereby certify that the above special order, merging the Whaingaroa Road District, was duly made as by law required.

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.—SPECIAL ORDER MADE 19TH OCTOBER, 1896.
That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £1,500 raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of forming and metalling the Opua Road from 10 chains from the western boundary of Section 53, Block IX., Opunake Survey District, to the junction of Wiremu Road, a special rate of 5½d. in the pound be made and levied over the following lands—viz., Section 7, Block IX.; Section 9, Block VI.; Section 11, Blocks VI. and VII.; Sections 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 8, 7, 6, Block VII.; Section 9, Blocks VII. and VIII.; Sections 5, 4, 3, Blocks VII. and X.; and Section 8, Block X., in the Opunake Survey District—constituting the Upper Opua Special Rating District. Such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall be payable in one instalment, on the 1st December in each year.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” at an ordinary meeting of the Parihaka Road Board, held on Monday, 19th October, and confirmed at an adjourned ordinary meeting held on Monday, 30th November, 1896.

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
Notice is hereby given that the following special order was made on Saturday, the 7th November, 1896, and confirmed on Monday, the 7th December, 1896:—
“That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £200, raised under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ for the purpose of metalling about 39 chains of the Cross Road, between the two metalled portions, and if any money is left over to be spent in continuing the metal westwards; to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it; to strike as security on this loan a special rate of ¾d. in the pound over the following lands—namely, Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 48, 49, Block XIV., Huiroa Survey District: such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall be payable in two half-yearly instalments on the 1st January and the 1st July in each year.”
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
Notice is hereby given that the following special order was made on Saturday, the 7th November, 1896, and confirmed on Monday, the 7th December, 1896:—
“That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £1,000, raised under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ for the purpose of forming and metalling portion of the Denbigh Road from the Mountain Road westwards, and of completing the draining, forming, and culverting of the upper portion of the road from the Derby Road, to give access to the sections in the New Block; to set aside the Land Fund money accruing from Sections 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, Block XVI., Egmont Survey District, for the purpose of paying part interest on proposed loan; to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it; to strike, as security on this loan, a special rate of 2d. in the pound over the following lands—namely, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and that part of Section 23 between the Rumkeg Stream and the Denbigh Road (about 11 acres), Manganui Survey District, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, Block XVI., Egmont Survey District: such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall be payable in two half-yearly instalments on the 1st January and the 1st July in each year.”

SPECIAL ORDERS re Upper Manaia Road Proposed Loan of £450, and Kiri Road Proposed Loan of an additional 10 per cent. on the Original Loan of £1,000.
That, to secure repayment of a loan of £450, and interest thereon, raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and its amendments, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Upper Manaia Road from the termination of the present metal (above the Kaponga Village Settlement) northwards to the Stratford County boundary, a special annual recurring rate of ¾d. in the pound, for a period of twenty-six years, be made and levied over the Upper Manaia Road Special Rating-area, comprising the following sections: 81, 84, 87, 103 to 106, Block XI.; 2, 3, 4, 10, 12, 13, 14, 44, 45, 47, 48, Kaponga Village Settlement, Block XI.,
