THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Raglan County Council, is published in accordance
with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

WAINGARO RIDING, RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
THE following is the result of a poll taken on Friday, 6th
November, 1896, on a proposal to borrow £600, under “The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the
purpose of paying apportionment of cost of traffic-bridge
and approaches over Waipa River, at Ngaruawahia :—
Number of ratepayers on roll, 114 ; number of votes ex-
ercisable, 130 : Number of ratepayers who voted in favour, 76 ;
number of votes recorded in favour, 93 ; number of rate-
payers who voted against the proposal, nil.
As a majority of the voters on the roll, exercising a
majority of votes, have voted in favour of the loan, I there-
fore declare the proposal carried.

LOAN of £750, under the Provisions of “The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and the Amendments
thereof, for forming and metalling Portion of Upper
Stuart Road.
Notice is hereby given that the poll of ratepayers taken
on the 3rd instant resulted as follows :—
Number of voters on roll, 6 ; number of votes exercisable,
10 : Number of voters for proposal, 4 ; number of votes for
proposal, 7 ; against, nil.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
