Rural Lands, Canterbury, open for Sale or Selection.

THE under-mentioned Crown lands will be open for sale or selection, in terms of section 136 of "The Land Act, 1892," either for cash, for occupation with right of purchase, or for lease in perpetuity, at the option of the selector, on and after Wednesday, 10th February, 1897.

If more than one application be received for the same land or part of the same land on the same day, then the order of selection shall be decided by ballot on the following day, at 11 a.m., at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch.

These sections are situated on the south side of the main line of railway, about one mile and a quarter south-westward from the South Rangitata Railway-station, and comprise level, open land of light quality.

SURVEYED SECOND-CLASS LAND.

This section is situated between the Rangitata and Orari Rivers, about five miles south-westward from the South Rangitata Railway-station, and comprises level, open land of light quality. The section is weighted with a sum of £132 15s., being valuation of boundary and subdivision fencing, which sum must be paid on allotment in addition to the usual deposit and fees.

NOTICE is hereby given that the several matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Shortland, Thames, on the 7th day of December, 1896, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

Applications relating to lands in the District of Coromandel will be adjourned to Coromandel for hearing at the discretion of the Court.
