Land taken for a School-site in the Pelorus Valley.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the purposes of a school-site in the Pelorus Valley District:
And whereas the Education Board of the District of Marlborough has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a school-site.

In the Marlborough Land District; as the said parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above stated.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for the construction of works for defence purposes: And whereas a map has been prepared in duplicate showing accurately the position and extent thereof, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the construction of a public work within the meaning of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” namely, the construction of works for the purpose of defence in the reserve known as the Botanic Garden, Wellington.

At the Parliament Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of September, 1896.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby incorporate the members of the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association of Canterbury, and such persons as shall hereafter be admitted members of the said association agreeably to the rules of the said association and the provisions of the said Act, into a body corporate under the said Act, under the style and title of “The Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association.”

Declaring Port of Shipment and Cool-store under “The Dairy Industry Act, 1894.”—Notice No. 452.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Parliament Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of September, 1896.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE R. J. SEDDON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section three and subsection one, (a), of section twenty-one of “The Dairy Industry Act, 1894,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare the Port of New Plymouth to be a port for the shipment of dairy produce, and the buildings in the occupation of the Taranaki Freezing-works Company (Limited), used as freezing-works, to be a cool-store for the purposes of the said Act, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council shall come into force from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
