Closing Streets in the Town of Orari.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in that behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the Geraldine Road Board, do by this notice hereby proclaim as closed the streets in Orari Township mentioned in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

THE parcels of land situated in Block X., Geraldine Survey District, defined as follows: That portion of Macdonald Street, in the Orari Town and Village Settlement, Geraldine County, lying to the south of a line being the production of the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 24, of Block VI., across the said street; also that street known as Barker Street, in the Orari Town and Village Settlement, and extending from Slack Street to the Railway Reserve: all in the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 28506, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six.

Land set apart for Mangatawa Improved-farm Special Settlement, Taranaki Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for a special settlement.


SCHEDULE.

MANGATAWA IMPROVED-FARM SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,978 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, Block IX., Mimi Survey District, and Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, Block IX., Waro Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 29128, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Additional Land taken in Tuapeka East Survey District for the Purposes of the Lawrence Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Lawrence Branch of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to take further land in Tuapeka East Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and one hundred and sixty-seven of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.
