CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.

This district is bounded towards the north-west and east generally by the Avon Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Rural Section No. 453, Block XI., Christchurch Survey District, at Norman’s Road to where Wilson’s Road is crossed by the Christchurch-Lyttelton Railway; thence towards the south-east by the said Wilson’s Road to the road running along the Heathcote River, and known as Heathcote Terrace; thence by the said Heathcote Terrace to Tennyson Street; thence towards the south by the said Tennyson Street to Colombo Road; thence towards the west by the said Colombo Road to Strickland Street; thence towards the south-west by the said Strickland Street and its north-eastern side produced across the River Heathcote; thence again towards the south by that river to Douglas Jerrold Street, and by the last-mentioned street to the Lower Lincoln Road; thence again towards the north-west by that road to Hagley Park; thence again towards the south and west by the southern and western boundary-lines of Hagley Park to Waimairi Creek (branch of the River Avon); thence towards the north by the left bank of that creek and the River Avon to Boundary Road; thence again towards the south-west by the said Boundary Road to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of original Rural Section No. 133, Block XI., Christchurch Survey District; thence again towards the south-east by that road to the River Avon; and again towards the south-west by that river and Rural Section No. 242 of the said Block XI. to Norman’s Road aforesaid.

LYTTELTON.

This district is bounded towards the north generally by the City of Christchurch Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Lower Lincoln Road to where Wilson’s Road is crossed by the Christchurch-Lyttelton Railway; thence towards the north-east generally by the Avon Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the estuary of the Heathcote and the Avon Rivers; thence by the said estuary and Pegasus Bay to Godley Head; thence towards the south and east by Lyttelton Harbour to the Head of the Bay at the bridge near the mouth of Te Rapu Stream; thence by a line to the nearest point of the road which forms the eastern boundary of Section No. 25401, Block VII., Halswell Survey District; thence by that road and its continuation towards Gebbie’s Pass, passing Sections Nos. 344, 481, 75, 13920, 34609, and

35602, to Section No. 21471, Block XI., Halswell Survey District; thence again towards the south by the said Section No. 21471 and Section No. 6076 to the road which forms part of the southern boundary of Section No. 35602 of the said Block XI.; thence by the south side of that road and its continuation westerly, passing Sections Nos. 6260, 4190, and 1383, to the western boundary-line of Section No. 1194; thence by that section and Section No. 4621 of the said Block XI. to Section No. 1390; thence towards the west generally by the said Section No. 1390, and Sections Nos. 1196, 14334, 33951, 1182, 1060, 906, 34555, 13609, 34551, 18809, 1443, 35510, 1403, 33748, and 565, Block, VII., Halswell Survey District, and Sections Nos. 485 and 33742, Block III., Halswell Survey District, to the road intersecting the last-mentioned section; thence by that road and its continuation northerly to Section No. 33746 of the said Block III.; thence by the said Section No. 33746 to the Hoon Hay Road; thence by the Hoon Hay Road to Sutherland’s Road; thence by Sutherland’s Road to Milne’s Road; thence by Milne’s Road to Lower Lincoln Road; thence by Lower Lincoln Road to the road which forms the western boundary of Rural Section No. 141, Block XIV., Christchurch Survey District; thence by that road to the stream on the western boundary of Rural Section No. 346, and thence by that stream to Middle Lincoln Road; thence towards the north-west by the Middle Lincoln Road to Junction Road; thence again towards the north-east by Junction Road to Lower Lincoln Road; and thence again towards the north-west by the last-mentioned road to the City of Christchurch Electoral District aforesaid.

RICCARTON.

This district is bounded towards the north generally by the Kaiapoi Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the groin on the south bank of the Waimakariri River at Thompson’s Road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 10938, Block VI., Christchurch Survey District; thence towards the east generally by the Avon Electoral District and the City of Christchurch and Lyttelton Electoral Districts respectively, hereinbefore described, to Hoon Hay Road; thence towards the south-east generally by the said Hoon Hay Road to Quarry Road, and by Quarry Road to Section No. 1350, Block II., Halswell Survey District; thence by that section to the Lower Lincoln Road; thence by that road to the Halswell River; thence by the said Halswell River to the bridge on the Tramway Road; thence by the said Tramway Road to the road which forms the southern boundary of Section No. 4980 of the said Block II.; thence by the last-mentioned road to the road which forms the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 3861 and 3862 of the said Block II. to the Tancr ed and Halswell Road; thence by that road to the Southbridge Railway-line, and thence by the said railway-line to Springs Road; thence towards the west by Springs Road to Boundary Road; thence towards the south-west by Boundary Road to Weedon and Springs Road, and by that road to the Main South Road; thence again towards the south-east by the Main South Road to the Main Trunk Railway-line, and thence by the Main Trunk Railway-line to the Malvern Railway-line; thence again towards the south-west by the Malvern Railway-line to Sandy Knoll Road; and thence again towards the west by Sandy Knoll Road and Thompson’s to the Kaiapoi Electoral District aforesaid.

ELLESMERE.

This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by the Riccarton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Springs Road to Sutherland’s Road; thence towards the east generally by the Lyttelton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Head of the Bay; thence towards the north by Lyttelton Harbour and the ocean; again towards the east and towards the south by the ocean to the Rakaia River; thence towards the south-west by the Rakaia River to a point in line with the south side of Rakaia and Irwell Road; thence again towards the north-west by a right line to the south side of the said road, and by that road to the Main Dunsandel Road; thence towards the east by the Main Dunsandel Road to Drain Road; thence towards the north by Drain Road easterly, crossing Killinchy, Cooper’s, Webster’s, and Harman’s Roads, to the Southbridge Railway-line; and thence again towards the north-west by the Southbridge Railway-line to Springs Road aforesaid at the Riccarton Electoral District aforesaid.

SELWYN.

This district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the Ashley and the Kaiapoi Electoral Districts respectively, hereinbefore described, from the saddle between the north branch of the Hurunui River and the Taramakau River to Thompson’s Road at the Waimakariri River; thence towards the east and again towards the north-east by the Riccarton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the
