WHEREAS an application has been made by Te Wunu te Ahuru and others, under section 12 of "The Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1895," setting forth grounds of objection to the decision of the Native Land Court held at Turakina in the month of December, 1888, determining the owners in the Ruatangata Block: And whereas such application is, by the said Act, directed to be dealt with as an appeal from such decision under "The Native Land Court Act, 1894."

Now, therefore, notice is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Appellate Court will be held at Whanganui on Thursday, the 20th day of August, 1896, to hear and determine the said appeal. All persons interested in the said matter are hereby notified to attend on the date and at the place aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Validation Court will be held at Hastings, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, on Tuesday, the 18th day of August, 1896, for the purpose of hearing the said application, and of making such investigation and inquiry with regard to the claim, matter, and things therein set forth as is directed and authorised by the said Act. Duplicates of the said application may be seen and inspected at this office.
