Notice of the Laying-off of a Road over Lands in the Wellington Land District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of “The Native Land Court Act, 1894,” that the roads described in the Schedule hereto were, on the 16th October, 1894, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by a warrant dated June, 1894.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road in Block VII., South Molyneux District.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1894,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road in Block VII., South Molyneux District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further given that the plan of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Glenomaru, and is there open for inspection. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

NOTE.—On the whole showery weather during this month, the maximum rainfall recorded on the 6th, 1·160in.; a few fine days in middle and end of month. Prevailing N.W. wind, and strong on 9th, 10th, and 11th, otherwise moderate. Maximum temperature in shade, 73°·8; minimum, 42°·2. Mean temperature of dew-point, 47°. Mean humidity, 71. Snow on hills on 28th, and sleet on 26th. Slight earthquake on 9th at 3 a.m.

Public Notice under “The Stock Act, 1893,” re Swine-fever.—No. 413.

Wellington, 3rd May, 1895.
IT having been reported to me that the disease known as “swine-fever” exists amongst pigs belonging to Mr. J. C. Anderson, of Stirling, farmer, and running on his farm-lands, comprising Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, in Block XIII., North Molyneux District, I therefore, in accordance with section 14, subsection (4), of “The Stock Act, 1893,” hereby declare such lands to be an infected place from which no swine, carcase, or any portion thereof, or any fodder or fittings, &c., shall be removed, except under the direction of an Inspector of Stock.
