T having been reported to me that the disease known as
"anthrax" exists amonust stock running on certain
lands in the County of Waipe, I therefore, in accordanee
with section 14, subseetion (4), of "The Stock Act, 1893,"
herehy declare the under-mentioned lands to be an infeetod
place, from which no stock, carcase, or any portion thereof,
or any fodder or fittinns, &c., shall be removed, except under
the direction of an Inspecter of Stock :—
Farn known as "Homwood," oceupied by Mre. A. L.
Martyn, of Ohaup, eomprising 600 aeres, more or less.
Lands in oceupation of Mr. D. Turnwald, Ohaup, and
used as a slaughter-yard, eomprising 30 aeres, more or less;
and lands in oceupation of D. Turnwald, bounded by farm
oceupied by Mre. A. L. Martyn, and shere of Horseshoe
Lake, 3 aeres, more or less; lands in oceupation of Mr.
G. A. Kusab, near Ohaup, 250 aeres, more or less.

will be submitted to public auctien, at the District Lands
and Survev Office, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 19th
day of February, at noon.

Situated about two miles from the Little River Railway-
station, on the Port Lerv Road. It comprises rough, hilly,
open grass land, of good quality, parts stecp and rocky, for-
merly covered with bosh; difficult of access on account of
stecp gradients of ronds. Eleyation rangers from 500ft. to
1,400ft. above sea-level. The land is well adaptec for grazing
purposes, and produccs good crope of cockefoot grass-seed.
TERMS OF SALE.
A depoeit of one-fifth of the purchase-monev shall be paid
on the fall of the hammer, and the balance within thirtv
davs thereaftcr, or the depoeit will be forfciied and the sale
cancellecl. Posenion will be given on the 1st May, 1896.

this office.

1896, at 11 o'clock a.m.
For Sale for Cach.
Gore Survev District, on the Titi-rangir Run: Section 3,
Block IX., 203 aeres; ocpset price, £81 4s., weighted with
£10 3s. cost of survey.
Section 1, Block XIII., 1,457 aeres; ocpset price, £582 16s.,
weighted with £72 17s. cost of survey, and £300 valuation
for improvenents.
Linkwater Survev District, on the Hampsbire Hile Run:
Section 6, Block V., 996 aeres; ocpset price, £498, weighted
with £66 10s. cost of survey, and £1,000 valuation for im-
provements.
Upcot Survev District, on Larridge Run: Section 1,
Block IX., 223 aeres 3 rood; ocpset price, £112, weighted
with £25 cost of survey, and £16 valuation for improre-
ments.
One-fifth of the purchase-monev must be paid on the fall
of the hammer, and the balance, together with the Croun-
grant fee, within 30 davs, or the depoeit at auctien will be
forfciited.

Onamalutu District, Run No. 101: 511 aeres; term,
ten years; ocpset annual rent, £2 2s. 7d.

present fenees not to be disturbed.

HE under-mentioned Croun lands will be open for
selection on leuse in perpctuity, at the District Lands
and Survev Office, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 12th
February, 1896.
If more than one application be received for the same sec-
tien on the same day, then the order of selection shall be
decided by hallot on the following day, at 11 a.m., at the
District Lands and Survev Office, Christchurch.

The Parcora Settlemtnt is sitnated on the New Zealnd
and Australiun Land Company's Parcora Estute, to the
south of the Parcora River, and west of the main line of
railway, the neareet station on which is St. Andrew's, dis-
tant about two miles. The block is also connected with
Timar by the Main South Road, the distance being about
eight miles. The section comprises open, level, agriculturnl
land of good quality, and is interseetod by the Otaio water-
race. Wiro and gorse fenees surround three sides of the
section, and the fourth is also fenced; the section is weighted
with a sum of £5 4s., being valuation of fencinu, which sum
must be paid on allotment, in addition to the usual depoeit
and fees.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

The lands enumerated above are first-class lands; and
are open for selection on leuse in perpctuity, under the pro-
visions of "The Land Act, 1892" (hereinafter referred to as
"the said Act"). -
The day on which the lands shall be open for selection
shall be Wednesday, the 12th day of February, 1896. -
The rertals stated above shall be the price at which the
land shall be open for selection. -
Every applicaut shall make the deelaration hereinafter
preseribed, and shall, immediately on being declared success-
ful, pay a sum equal to one half-year's rent of the land
applied for. Such payment shall be in disebare of the
half-year's rent due on the 1st day of January or July fol-
lowing. He shall also pay the sum of £1 1s. for the pre-
paration of the leuse and the registration thereof.
