Land set apart for Settlement.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891 ” (hereinafter termed “ the said Act ”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
TAKAHUE, WHANGAPE.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in Blocks X., XIII., and XIV., Takahue Survey District, and Blocks VII. and X., Whangape Survey District, and containing by admeasurement 12,200 acres, more or less: Bounded towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 1, 18A, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, and 22 of Block X., Takahue Survey District; towards the east generally by Section No. 24 of the same block, by a forest reserve, and by the eastern boundaries of Blocks XIV., Takahue Survey District, and X., Whangape Survey District; towards the south generally by Te Awaroa No. 1 Block, by the Awaroa Stream, by Te Awaroa No. 2 Block, and by a right line running due west to the southernmost angle of Section No. 52 of Block VII., Whangape Survey District; and towards the west generally by said Section No. 52, and Sections Nos. 51, 50, 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15 of the same block, by a forest reserve, by the eastern boundary of Block IX., Takahue Survey District, and by the Okahu Block to the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for special settlement.

Lands taken for a Road in the Borough of Melrose.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1894,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Borough of Melrose:
And whereas the Borough Council of Melrose has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1894,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
