Additional Land taken in Sawyer's Bay District for the
Purposes of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Rail-
way to take further land in Sawyer's Bay District, in ad-
dition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the
said railway:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-eight and
one hundred and sixty-seven of "The Public Works Act,
1894," and of every other power and authority in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for
the purposes above mentioned.

particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 17547,
deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at
Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as
set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
KAITANGATA BLOCK.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by
admeasurement 20,000 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks
IX., X., XIII., and XIV., Mikimiki Survey District, Blocks
I., II., V., and IX., Tiffin Survey District, and Blocks IV.
and VI., Waiohine Survey District. Bounded towards the
north-west generally by Crown lands, across and by the
Mangaterere River, and again by Crown lands: towards the
east generally by the Waingawa River; by Sections Nos.
379, 384, and 390, Block XIV., Mikimiki Survey District; by
Section No. 5 (E.R.), across and by the Mangatariri Stream;
by Sections Nos. 367, 365, and 399, Block II., Tiffin Survey
District; by Sections Nos. 398 and 395, Block VI.; by Sections
Nos. 394, 396, 400, 305, and 304, Block V.; Sections Nos. 303,
302, 301, 351, and 353, Block IX.; all of Tiffin Survey Dis-
trict: towards the south by Section No. 222 of said Block
IX., and by Section No. 354 of Block VI., Waiohine Survey
District: and towards the west by the Waiohine River: as
the same is delineated upon a plan marked S.G. 26519,
deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon edged with green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and
