All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 19 perches, more
or less, situate in the Parish of Otau, in the Opaheke Road
District, and being a road 100 links wide and upwards,
traversing a portion of the northern part of Section No. 10,
the southern side of which commences at a point on the
north-western boundary of Section No. 10 at a distance of
2118·4 links, more or less, from its north-eastern angle, and
extends in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 3457·2
links, more or less, to a point on the north-western boundary
of said Section No. 10 at a distance of 1521 links, more or
less, from the left bank of the Wairoa River ; as the same is
delineated upon a plan marked S.G. 22675A, and thereon
coloured pink.
The two above-mentioned plans, marked respectively S.G.
22675 and 22675A, being deposited in the Head Office of the
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District.

Declaring State Forests in the Land District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by "The New Zealand State Forests
Act, 1885," and of every other power and authority enabling
me in that behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do
hereby set apart the forest lands described in the Schedule
hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as
and for State forests within the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in the Parish of Owhiwa, containing by admeasure-
ment 660 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north
generally by a public road, 300, 150, 1900, 687, 298, 910, 880,
547, 612, 118, 743, 359, 249, 349, 824, 125, 327, 244, 909, 206,
534, 417, 467, 1159, 623, 243, and 745 links; towards the
south-east by Section No. 227 of the Parish of Owhiwa,
4530 links, by a right line from the western angle of that
section to the northern angle of Section 5 of the same parish,
4400 links, and by said Section No. 5, 1338 links; towards
the south-west by Section No. 4 of the same parish, 5760
links; and towards the north-west generally by a public
road, 450, 100, 280, 300, 450, 760, 425, 160, 420, 90, 190, 515,
370, and 680 links, to the point of commencement: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less.

Declaring that Ratepayers of Levels County shall elect Two
Members of Timaru Harbour Board.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section three of "The
Timaru Harbour Board Act, 1882," that the Timaru
Harbour Board shall consist of eleven members, two of
whom shall be elected by the ratepayers of Levels Road
District:
And whereas it is enacted by section twenty-five of "The
Timaru Harbour Board Loan Act, 1885," that, in the event
of any alteration in the territorial limits, designation, con-
stitution, or other alteration whatsoever in any borough,
road district, town district, county, or place, the ratepayers
of which now have, or may hereafter have, the right to vote
at the election of one or more members of the said Harbour
Board, the Governor may, by Proclamation, make such
changes in any or all of the districts or places entitled to
elect such members, and in the names of such districts or
places, as in his opinion such alterations may render desirable:
Provided that the proportion of representation as at present
existing shall be interfered with as little as possible by the
changes so to be made:
And whereas the Levels Road District has merged into
the Levels County, and it is desirable that the ratepayers of
the said county shall elect two members of the Timaru
Harbour Board instead of the ratepayers of the Levels
Road District:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the ratepayers of the Levels County shall elect two
members of the Timaru Harbour Board in place of the
ratepayers of the Levels Road District, anything in "The
Timaru Harbour Board Act, 1882," to the contrary notwith-
standing.

Authorising Preparation of Electors' Roll for County of
Cheviot.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the seventeenth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-five, made under "The Counties Act, 1886" (herein-
after termed "the said Act"), and "The Cheviot County Act,
1893," and published in the Gazette of the seventeenth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
five, the said Act was brought into operation in the County
of Cheviot as from the first day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five:
And whereas it is expedient to make provision for the
preparation of an electors' roll for the purpose of electing a
Councillor for each riding of the said county, as provided in
the aforesaid Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers vested in me by "The Cheviot County Act,
1893," do hereby proclaim, authorise, and direct that the
person appointed to make up an electors' roll for each of the
ridings of the said County of Cheviot shall prepare the said
rolls in the following manner, namely:—
A list for each of the said ridings shall be prepared in the
form prescribed by the Fourth Schedule to the said Act, by
placing thereon the names of all owners or occupiers of rate-
able property in each such riding, and assigning to each
person the number of votes to which he is entitled, accord-
ing to the scale provided by section sixty of the said Act.
Such rolls, when signed by the person appointed to make
up the rolls, shall be the electors' rolls for the said ridings
until new rolls are made up in accordance with the said
Act.
