Land reserved as Endowments for Education.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892," the reserves enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto were temporarily reserved as endowments for education upon the respective dates specified in the second column of the said Schedule, and severally set opposite the respective descriptions of the said reserves:
And whereas notices of such reservations were laid upon the table of each House of the General Assembly: And whereas the two Houses have passed resolutions, upon the dates specified in the third column, approving, in terms of the two hundred and thirty-eighth section of "The Land Act, 1892," of the lands being permanently set aside as endowments for education:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by "The Land Act, 1892," do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be reserved as endowments for education, as herein specified respectively.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.
