Land taken for the Whananaki-Ngunguru Road, in the Whangarei County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Opua-whanga Survey District:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated upon the plans marked as above, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George: Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

Land taken for a Street in the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the Wellington Harbour Board, being the local authority in whom the part of endowment lands hereinafter described is vested, and the Mayor, Councillors and citizens of the City of Wellington, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as taken for a street,—
All that piece of land within the City of Wellington, containing an area of about 2·1 perches, bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern-side line of Custom-house Quay distant from the north-side line of Hunter Street 160·6 links; proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction on a bearing of 292° 49', and for a distance of 3·7 links; in a north-easterly direction on a bearing of 22° 38', and for a distance of 151·72 links; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 112° 25', for a distance of 53·07 links; thence in a south-westerly direction on a bearing of 261° 31', for a distance of 56·76 links, to the true eastern-side line of Custom-house Quay; produced thence along the said line of Custom-house Quay, on a bearing of 202° 59', for a distance of 122·6 links, to the point of commencement, which point is also the north-westerly corner of Allotment No. 10, as shown on deposited plan No. 498 in the Land Transfer Office: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 27324, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Land set apart for Special Settlement, Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the block of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for special settlement.

SCHEDULE.
PAPAMOA No. 2 SPECIAL SETTLEMENT ASSOCIATION.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,290 acres, more or less, situated in Tauranga, Te Tumu, Otanewainuku, and Maketu Survey Districts. Bounded towards the north by Crown land; towards the north-east by Te Karamuramu Block; towards the south-east by Section No. 17, Block I., Maketu Survey District; towards the south-west by Otawa No. 2 Block; again towards the south-east by Otawa No. 1c Block; towards the south by Crown land; towards the west by Crown land; and again towards the north and west by Crown land: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 26508, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and therein marked edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

Land set apart for Village Settlements in the Southland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-eighth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the allotments of Crown land respectively described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart for sale and selection as village allotments under Part III. of "The Land Act, 1892."

Wallace County.—Flint's Bush Township.
Section 1, Block III., 1 acre.
