Land declared to be Crown Land subject to "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894."

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the provisions of "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), and the purchase thereof has been concluded as by the said Act is provided: And whereas it is enacted by the said Act that all land so acquired shall be proclaimed as Crown land subject to the provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, on the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be and be deemed to be Crown land subject to the provisions of "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894."
SCHEDULE.
Epworth Settlement.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 21 acres and 3 perches, more or less, being Allotments Nos. 14a and 16a of Rural Section No. 6383 (Epworth Township), in Block II., Arowhenua Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 18941, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five.

Lands taken for a Road in Horowhenua County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act, 1894," for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road to the cemetery at Otaki, through Block IX., Waitohu Survey District:
And whereas the Horowhenua County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1894," and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
