And whereas the Thames County Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act: And
whereas it appears expedient to issue the Proclamation
herein set forth :

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities in me vested by sections 18 and
28 of the said Act, and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is taken for the Thames Water-race as
aforesaid ; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation is
issued at the request of and on behalf of the Thames County
Council aforesaid.

Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow ; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George ; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies ;
and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-eighth day of August, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-

I N pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of " The
Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the
twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-five, as the time at which the lands enumerated in
the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction at Auck-
land, and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands
shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto
opposite the description of such lands respectively.
