First-class Land.

This section is on the Mangahao River, and is apprached from Ektahuna via Hawera, distinct about twelre miles, by a road open for dray traffic all the way. The section is nearly all level, about one-half being a natural clearing, the sol being fairly good but stony, and well watered.

Pahiatua

The access to this section will be from Ektahuna, distinct about fifteen miles, the first nine miles, via Hawera, being by a dray road, the remaining six miles by a horse road. The land is hilly; the sol being fair to good, on a paps formataion, heavly timbred and well watered.

These are sitated on the road conneting Palerston North with Pahiatua, and the approach from Palerston North will be by a dray road for about seven miles, and from thence to the furtherst section by horse road for another seven miles, the through distance from Palerston North rasing from about ten and a half to fourteen miles. The sections are hilly and broken, with the exception of Section 12, a portion of which is level. The sol throughout is fair, well watered, and heavly timbred.

These sections lie north of Hnterville, and the approach from there is by dray road for about fourteen miles, thence by horse road to the most northerly section for a further distance of eight miles and a half. Fve of the sections front on the horse road, and four have access by suryed road therefrom, the greatest distance from the horse road being two miles. The general character of the land is hilly, with the sol fair to first-class on a paps formataion, with more or less level on each section, all well watered and heavly timbred.

These sections are sitated on Murrays Tack, north of Hnterville, and the access will be from that township, as follows: the first fourteen miles by dray road, and a further fourteen miles of horse road to the front northerly section. All the sections have frontages to a formed road except 21 and 29, Block XVI., and Section 2, Block XV., Maungakaretu, which have access by suryed road only. The land consits of undulating country, protions being level; the sol is light, on a paps formataion; and some of the sections have a portion of a natural clearing on them, consiting of native grass, scrb, &c., the balance being heavy mixed timbr, and well watered throughout.
