Bounded towards the north and north-east by Hawkswood
Riding, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by

by the St. Anne Recreation-ground Reserve, Section No. 1,
Block 7, Cheviot Survey District; Sections Nos. 4, 3, 2, 1,
and 6, Block 12, Lowry Peaks Survey District; Section
No. 1, Block 11, Lowry Peaks Survey District; Sections
Nos. 5 and 4, Block 7, Lowry Peaks Survey District: thence
towards the north-west by the north-western boundaries of
Sections Nos. 3, 2, and 1, Block 7, Lowry Peaks Survey
District, and the north-western boundary of Section No. 1,
Block 3, Lowry Peaks Survey District, to the Waiau River;
and thence by a line due north to the middle of the said
Waiau River.

LOWRY RIDING.

Bounded towards the north generally by Waiau Riding,
hereinbefore described; towards the east by Seaward Riding,
hereinbefore described, to the westernmost corner of Section
No. 9, Block 16, Lowry Peaks Survey District; thence
towards the south-west by a line across the Homestead Road,
thence by Sections Nos. 12, 10, and 3, Block 16, Lowry Peaks
Survey District, Section No. 1, Block 15, Lowry Peaks
Survey District, Section No. 1, Block 14, Lowry Peaks
Survey District, and Section No. 2, Block 10, Lowry Peaks
Survey District; thence towards the north-west by the north-
western boundary of Section No. 1, Block 10, Lowry Peaks
Survey District, and the north-western boundary of Section
No. 4, Block 7, Lowry Peaks Survey District.

HURUNUI RIDING.

Bounded towards the north-east generally by Lowry and
Seaward Ridings, hereinbefore described; towards the east
by Seaward Riding, hereinbefore described; towards the
south by a line along the middle of the Hurunui River to a
point due south of the south-western corner of Section No. 1,
Block 17, Lowry Peaks Survey District; towards the north-
west generally by a line due north to that section, thence
by the western boundary of Section No. 1, Block 17, Lowry
Peaks Survey District, the Kaiwara River, to the north-
western boundary of Section No. 2, Block 14, Lowry Peaks
Survey District, by the western boundary of said Section
No. 2, and the western boundary of Section No. 2, Block 10,
Lowry Peaks Survey District.

KAIWARA RIDING.

Bounded towards the north by a line drawn due east from
a point on the summit of the Lowry Peaks Range towards
Mount Parnassus as far as the middle of the Waiau River;
thence towards the south-east generally by Hawkswood,
Waiau, Lowry, and Hurunui Ridings respectively, herein-
before described, to the Hurunui River; thence towards the
south generally by a line along the middle of the said
Hurunui River to a point due west of the foot of the main
spur leading to Lowry Peaks: thence towards the north-
west generally by a line due east to the foot of the main
spur; thence towards the north-west by the main spur and
the summit of the Lowry Peaks Range to a point due west
of Mount Parnassus.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of
January, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-five.

Constituting Districts under "The Factories Act, 1894."

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day
of January, 1895.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by "The Factories Act, 1894" (hereinafter
termed "the said Act"), it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time divide New Zealand, or
any portion thereof, into such districts as he shall think fit,
and notice of the constitution of every such district shall be
given in the Gazette as occasion requires:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act,
do hereby divide the portions of the said colony enumerated
in the Schedule hereto into districts for the purposes of the
said Act, the descriptions and boundaries whereof shall be
those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby
declare that for the purposes of the said Act each of such
districts shall be known by the name set over the descrip-
tion of each such district respectively.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH ISLAND DISTRICT.

All that area being the North Island of the Colony of New
Zealand and the islands adjacent thereto.

MIDDLE ISLAND DISTRICT.

All that area being the Middle Island of the Colony of
New Zealand and the islands adjacent thereto.

STEWART ISLAND DISTRICT.

All that area being Stewart Island, in the Colony of New
Zealand, and the islands adjacent thereto.

Vesting a Reserve in the Ngaruawahia Town Board.

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth
day of January, 1895.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was permanently reserved for a site for a market on
the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-four:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is ex-
pedient that the said land should be vested in the Ngarua-
wahia Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in
"The Ngaruawahia Town Board" in trust for a site for a
market.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being
Allotment No. 670 of the Town of Ngaruawahia, containing
by admeasurement 6 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 812 links;
towards the south-east by a public road, 796 links; towards
the south-west by a public road, 812 links; and towards the
north-west by a public road, 796 links, to the point of com-
mencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Ashburton County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day
of January, 1895.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
was permanently reserved for river conservation pur-
poses on the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-four:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient to vest the said land in the Ashburton County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise
of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth
section of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby
declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the
reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested
in "The Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the
Ashburton County" in trust for river conservation purposes.
