Vesting a Reserve in the Te Aroha Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of April, 1895.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was permanently reserved as a gravel reserve on
the fourth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-five :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient that the said land should be vested in the Te Aroha
Town Board :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of " The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in
"The Te Aroha Town Board," in trust, for a gravel reserve.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being
Allotments Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15,
and 16 of Block XXI., Town of Te Aroha, containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 875 links ;
towards the east by a public road, 236 links ; towards the
south-east by a public road, 200 links ; towards the south-
west by a public road, 1000 links ; and towards the north-
west by a public road, 400 links, to the point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

was permanently reserved as a quarry on the fourth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient
that the said land should be vested in the Mount Wellington
Road Board :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
fourth section of " The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth
hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof
the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become
vested in "The inhabitants of the Mount Wellington Road
District," for a quarry.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
being Allotment No. 71 of Section No. 1 of the small lots
near the Village of Panmure, containing by admeasurement
2 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the
north-east by Allotment No. 70 of Section No. 1 aforesaid,
590 links; towards the south-east by Allotment No. 18 of the
same section, 547 links; towards the south-west by Allot-
ment No. 72 of the same section, 430 links ; and towards the
north-west by a public road, 500 links, to the point of com-
encement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

&c., for the use of the Akaroa County Council, on the fourth
day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient
to vest the said land in the Akaroa County Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in him by the fourth section of " The Public Reserves Act,
1881," doth hereby declare that from and after the day of
the date hereof the reserve mentioned in the Schedule
hereto shall become vested in " The Chairman, Councillors,
and inhabitants of the Akaroa County," in trust, for the
purposes of a dépôt for metal, stores, &c.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury,
containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 1259 in red, Block XIV., Pigeon Bay Survey
District. Bounded on the northward by a road-line south of
Section No. 13509 ; on the east and south-eastward by a
road-line north-west of Section No. 10379 ; and on the west-
ward by Section No. 15589, 1391·3 links : as the same is
delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, Christchurch.

Sale of Land under " The Public Works Act, 1894."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of April, 1895.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twenty-ninth section of " The Public
Works Act, 1894 " (hereinafter termed " the said Act "),
it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken,
purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other
Act or provincial Ordinance, or otherwise however, for any
public work is not required for such public work, the Governor
may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted,
cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in
the said Act: And whereas a memorial has been laid before
the Governor by the Levels Road Board, accompanied by a
map, setting forth that the said Road Board acquired in
1888, by purchase, for road purposes, certain lands from the
New Zealand and Australian Land Company (Limited), the
then owners of the fee-simple of the land, all that piece of
land, containing twenty acres three roods thirty-five perches,
more or less, and being part of rural sections num-
bered 19467 and 19560, Ophi Survey District: And whereas
the said piece of land is not now required by the said Levels
Road Board for road purposes or otherwise, and the said
Board desires to sell the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority
conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in
the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood 19 perches, more or less,
situated in Block XIII., Ophi Survey District, being part of
Rural Section No. 19467. Bounded towards the north-west
by a road-line, 2389·8 links; towards the south-east by a
road-line, 2532·1 links ; and towards the south-west by a
right line, 775·9 links.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, situated
in Block XIII., Ophi Survey District, containing by ad-
measurement 9 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less,
being part of Rural Section No. 19560. Bounded towards
the north-west by a road-line, 2231·8 links ; towards the
north-east by a right line 775·9 links ; and towards the south-
east by a road-line, 2117·7 links : be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.
