Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

KAITI ROAD BOARD.—DARWIN ROAD SPECIAL DISTRICT.
Special order confirmed by the above Board on Wednesday,
the 27th March, 1895:—
It is hereby notified that this Board, at a meeting to be
held on the 27th instant, will proceed by special order to
confirm the following resolution:—
Resolved, "That a special rate of 3d. in the pound be
struck on all rateable property within the Darwin Road
Special District, as described in the following Schedule, for
the period of twenty-six years, from the 1st June, 1895, to
the 31st May, 1921, to secure payment of interest on a loan
of £200, to be obtained under 'The Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1886,' for the purpose of undertaking the particular
public works set forth in a proposal of the ratepayers of the
said special district which was duly carried at a poll taken
on the 24th October, 1894. The said special rate to be
annually recurrent for the period stated, and to be due and
payable in two equal instalments on the 1st day of July and
the 1st day of January in each year."

Sections 261, 262, 263, 268, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, of Block 266, Kaiti, Turanganui
Survey District.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
confirmed in conformity with "The Road Boards Act,
1882."

the Mackenzie County Council, is published in ac-
cordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1886."

MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL.
The following is the result of a poll of the ratepayers in the
Melville Downs Special Rating District, taken on the 26th
March, 1895, on the proposal to borrow £100 under "The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for con-
structing water-races in the Melville Downs Subdivision of
the Fairlie Water District:—
Number of ratepayers within the special district, 1, capable
of exercising 4 votes: Number of ratepayers who voted in
favour of the proposal, 1, exercising 4 votes; number of votes
against the proposal, 0.
As a majority of the ratepayers within the Melville Downs
Special Rating District voted in favour of the proposal, and
the number so voting are entitled to a majority of the votes
appearing on the special roll, I do hereby declare the pro-
posal carried.

Arch Hill Road Board, is published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

ARCH HILL ROAD DISTRICT.
Result of the poll taken on the 30th of March, 1895, on a
proposal to borrow £1,800 for the purpose of obtaining a
water-supply:—
Number of ratepayers on the roll, 289, representing 297
votes: 102 ratepayers, representing 104 votes, voted for the
proposal, 5 against, and 5 informal.
As the numbers in favour of the proposal are not a majority
of the numbers on the roll, I declare the proposal rejected.

the Wairarapa North County Council, is published in

WAIRARAPA NORTH COUNTY COUNCIL.
Proposal to raise a loan of £600, under "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for constructing a bridge
over the Tiraumea River, at Napier's Crossing:—
Number of ratepayers on the special roll, 38, exercising
62 votes: Number of ratepayers who voted in favour of the
proposal, 20, exercising 36 votes; number of ratepayers
who voted against the proposal, none; number of informal
votes, 1.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour
of the proposal, and the number so voting were entitled to
more than one-half in number of the votes which can be
exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I declare the
above proposal to be carried.

City of Dunedin, is published in accordance with the
provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886."

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.
At a poll taken on the 3rd day of April, 1895, on the proposal
of the Dunedin City Council to raise by way of loan the sum
of £6,000 for the purpose of providing an abattoir under the
provisions of "The Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses Act, 1894,"
and of pledging as security for such loan the tolls, rents, and
stallages of such abattoir as defined by the aforesaid Act, the
following votes were recorded: For the proposal, 1,108; against
the proposal, 461; informal, 9: majority in favour of the
proposal, 647: and I have therefore declared the resolution
to be carried.
I beg to enclose herewith statutory declaration by the Town
Clerk to the effect that all proceedings required by "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," to be taken in or towards
obtaining the sanction of the burgesses to the proposal have
been duly taken, and that the resolution in favour of the
proposal has been duly carried.
