Description of land: Bush land of fair quality, with a
little open land; situate about nine miles from Hokianga
Heads, and two miles from Waimamaku Post-office.

Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of pur-
chase, rent 4½d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity,
rent 3·6d. per acre per annum.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this fourteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-four.

Limits of Waimakariri Harbour defined.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance of the power and authority in me vested by
the ninth section of "The Harbours Act, 1878," I,
David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby define the limits of the Harbour of
Waimakariri, in the said colony, to be,–

All that area to seaward included in the arc of a circle
intersecting Trig. Stations I, Christchurch Survey District,
and I M, Rangiora Survey District, to ordinary high water-
mark in Pegasus Bay, opposite Trig. Station I M aforesaid;
and thence by a line proceeding along ordinary high-water-
mark southerly to the mouth of the Waimakariri River:
thence northerly and westerly along the left bank of the

River Waimakariri to the confluence of that river with the
Cam River, and thence along the left bank of the Cam River
to the bridge on Cam Road, R.S. 319; thence across the
Cam River and along the right bank of that river to the con-
fluence of the Rivers Waimakariri and Cam: thence westerly
along the left bank of the north branch of the River Wai-
makariri to the railway-bridge; thence across that branch
and along the right bank of the river to the Old South
Branch: thence southerly along the left bank of that branch
to the railway-bridge, and thence across and along the right
bank of the said South Branch and the River Waimakariri
to Stewart's Gully, and along the left bank of Stewart's
Gully to the railway-bridge; thence along a line across
Stewart's Gully and along the right bank thereof, and along
the River Waimakariri to the mouth of the Styx River
(Purarekanui): and thence westerly along a line to the south-
west corner of the Maori Reserve Road, adjoining R.S. 17167;
thence along the right bank of the River Styx aforesaid to
the estuary, and along the right bank of the estuary and
high-water mark of Pegasus Bay southerly to the arc of the
circle aforesaid: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked M.D. 1974, and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington.

Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section
of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received
the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-seventh day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-five; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option
of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity,
or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease
in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and
subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

Section 4, all broken forest land; the forest is a good deal burnt. Section 12, broken forest land of fair quality. Sec-
tion 2, undulating land of fair quality; about 100 acres mixed forest, balance open. Section 3, principally forest land
through which fire has passed; soil of fair quality, and the section contains a few scattered kauri trees. Section 5, broken
land of fair quality, covered with heavy forest. Section 6, very broken land, about one-half forest, fronting the Ngunguru
River.
