Haehae-te-moana River, by that river and the Temuku and
Opihi Rivers; towards the south-east by the sea; towards
the south generally by the Otaia River to a point due east of
Mount Blythe, and thence by a right line to Mount Blythe;
towards the west generally by the summit of the range over
Mount Nimrod and Mount Burgess; and towards the north
generally by the watershed between Forest Creek and the
Opuha River.
WAIMATE FACTORY DISTRICT EXTENDED.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded
towards the north generally by the Timaru Factory District
hereinbefore described; towards the east by the sea; towards
the south-west by the Waitaki River; and towards the west
generally by the summit of the range over Mount Meyer
and the watershed between the Hakateramea and Waihao
Rivers.
KUROW FACTORY DISTRICT CONSTITUTED.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded
towards the north generally by the boundary between the
Canterbury and Otago Land Districts from the Ahuriri River
to the confluence of the Ohau and Tekapo Rivers, by the
Tekapo River and Gray's Creek to a point due west of
Mackenzie Pass and thence by a right line to that pass;
thence towards the north-east generally by the Timaru
Factory District hereinbefore described; towards the west
generally by the Waimate Factory District hereinbefore
described; towards the south generally by the Waitaki River
to a point opposite the mouth of the Otiake River, thence
to and by that river to its source, thence by a right line to
Mount Domett, thence by the leading spur to the source of
Hut Creek, and by that creek to the Otematata River; and
thence towards the south-west generally by the Otematata
River, the Waitaki River, and the Ahuriri River.
ELTHAM FACTORY DISTRICT CONSTITUTED.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District, bounded
towards the north generally by the Opunake Road, Finnerty
Road, the railway-line, and Cheal Road; towards the east
generally by Te Ngaire Block, Campbell Road, Rotokare
Road, and Fraser Road; towards the south-west and south
generally by Austin Road, the Waingongoro Stream, and
Skeet Road; and towards the west by Palmer Road.

Regulations amending Terms and Conditions of Sale of the
Pomahaka Downs Estate.
GLASGOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation, dated the eighteenth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-four, an area of seven thousand four hundred and
sixty-two acres three roods one perch, situated in the Poma-
haka Survey District, in the Land District of Otago, was
declared to be Crown lands subject to the provisions of "The
Land for Settlements Act, 1892": And whereas, by virtue
of "The Land for Settlements Act, 1894," the Governor is
empowered to make all regulations for the disposition of any
land acquired under that Act, or for the perfecting of any-
thing begun under the former Act:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
power and authority conferred by "The Land for Settlements
Act, 1894," do hereby make the following additional regula-
tions for the disposal of the remainder of the said land, that
is to say:-

  1. Any selector who has already acquired any area of the
    lands proclaimed as aforesaid may become the lessee of a
    further area adjoining his selection, so as to increase his
    holding to the limit of six hundred and forty acres.
  2. Any person of the age of seventeen years or more may
    apply for and become the lessee of any of the lands within
    the said area now open for lease, up to a maximum of six
    hundred and forty acres, including the land already owned
    or occupied by him.
  3. These regulations shall come into force on the
    eighth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
    ninety-five.
  4. Regulation eight of the terms and conditions of sale of
    the Pomahaka Downs Estate on its being opened for selection
    on the twentieth day of February, one thousand eight hun-
    dred and ninety-four, is hereby repealed.
    As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
    this fourteenth day of December, one thousand
    eight hundred and ninety-four.

    Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
    or Selection.
    GLASGOW, Governor.
    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
    conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth
    section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow,
    the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received
    the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the
    said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural
    lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for
    sale or selection on and after the sixth day of March, one
    thousand eight hundred and ninety-five; and also that
    the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option
    of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for
    occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity,
    or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain
    any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in
    perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which
    the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned
    in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands
    shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the
    provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."
    SCHEDULE.
    AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-UNSURVEYED SECOND-CLASS
    LAND.
    Waikato County.
    ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
    situate in the Parish of Whangamarino, containing approxi-
    mately 2,300 acres. Bounded towards the north-east by the
    confiscation boundary-line; towards the south generally by
    a right line running due west to the north-eastern angle of
    Section No. 425 of the Parish of Whangamarino, by that
    section and by Sections Nos. 423, 421, 419, 417, 415, and 413
    of the same parish; towards the west generally by Sections
    Nos. 259, 258, 257, and 470 of the same parish; and towards
    the north-west generally by a public road, by Sections 469
    and 468 of the Parish of Whangamarino aforesaid, by a
    public road, by Sections Nos. 467 and 471A of the same
    parish, by Section No. 34 of the Parish of Maramarua, and
    by part of the south-eastern boundary of that parish, to the
    point of commencement.
    Description of land: About half forest land of fair quality,
    remainder open fern land with a little swamp; situate about
    twelve miles from Wairangi Railway-station.
    Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of pur-
    chase, rent 4½d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity,
    rent 3·6d. per acre per annum.
    Whangarei County.
    All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
    situate in Blocks II. and V., Opuawhanga Survey District,
    and containing approximately 765 acres. Bounded towards
    the north generally by Section No. 4 of Block I., and Sec-
    tions 8, 10, and 9 of Block II., Opuawhanga Survey District;
    towards the south-east generally by a public road; and
    towards the west generally by Blocks IV. and I., Opu-
    whanga Survey District, and by the Owai Block, to the point
    of commencement.
    Description of land: All broken forest land, poor soil;
    a formed bridle-road runs through it; situate about half a
    mile from coast, and two miles from Helena Bay Post-office.
    Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of pur-
    chase, rent 4½d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity,
    rent 3·6d. per acre per annum.
    Hokianga County.
    All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
    situate in Block II., Punakitere Survey District, and con-
    taining approximately 1,030 acres. Bounded towards the
    north by Block XIV., Omapore Survey District; towards the
    north-east generally by the Mangatoa and Whakamarangi
    Streams; towards the south by the Pahekeheke Block; and
    towards the west by Block I., Punakitere Survey District, to
    the point of commencement.
    Description of land: Open land of inferior quality; situ-
    ate about three miles from Punakitere Post-office.
    Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of pur-
    chase, rent 4½d. per acre per annum; lease in perpetuity,
    rent, 3·6d. per acre per annum.
    All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
    situate in Block XIII., Waoku Survey District, and con-
    taining approximately 3,950 acres. Bounded towards the
    north by the northern portion of the Wairau Block, by Section
    No. 2 of Block XIII., Waoku Survey District, and by the
    Waimamaku River; towards the east by Block XIV., Waoku
    Survey District; towards the south by Block I., Waipoua
    Survey District; towards the west by a right line running
    due north to the south-eastern angle of the northern portion
    of the Wairau Block; and towards the north-west by the
    last-mentioned block to the point of commencement.
