Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.
GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of December, 1894.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Tauru Roera, Karaitiana te Tupe,
Turia Roera, and Paranihia Kuiti, the Native owners of the
land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto,
praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land
contained in the Crown grant bearing date the twenty-ninth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine,
described in the first column of the said Schedule, may be
removed: And whereas inquiry has been duly made by the
Native Land Court, and the said Court has reported that
the provisions of the law in that behalf have been complied
with: And whereas it appears expedient to grant such
application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the aliena-
tion of the said land are hereby removed.

Rangitaiki River Land Drainage District constituted.
GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of December, 1894.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of the
fifth section of "The Land Drainage Act, 1893," a
majority of the ratepayers in the district described in the
Schedule hereto, situated in the County of Whakatane, have
presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand praying that the land comprised in
the said district be constituted a drainage district under the
provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority contained in the fifth section of "The Land
Drainage Act, 1893," His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
constitute and declare the block of land described in the
said petition, and in the Schedule hereto, to be a district for
the purposes of Part I. of the said Act, and to be called by
the name of "The Rangitaiki Drainage District"; and also,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority con-
tained in the ninth section of the said Act, doth hereby
declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall
consist of five members, to be elected under and in accord-
ance with the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
RANGITAIKI DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situate in
Whakatane County, bounded towards the north by the
sea; towards the east generally by the Whakatane River;
towards the south by Block VIII., Whakatane Survey Dis-
trict, and Block XII., Rangitaiki Upper Survey District;
again towards the east generally by the summit of the
western watershed of the Waima Stream; again towards
the south by Block XV., Rangitaiki Upper Survey District;
towards the west generally by the western bank of the Rangi-
taiki River; again towards the south by the southern bound-
aries of Sections Nos. 114, 115, 116, 117, 125, and 127,
Block X., Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, and a right
line from the south-western corner of the last-mentioned
section to the southernmost point of Lake Moturoa; and
thence again towards the west generally by the western shore
of that lake to the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 41,
Block IX., Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, by that section
and its eastern boundary-line produced to Lake Rotorua,
thence by the western shore of that lake and the north-
western boundary-line of Section No. 38 to the northernmost
corner of that section, thence by a right line to the angle
of the Matata Main Road, about 12 chains south of where
it crosses the Mangowhiki Stream, and by that road to the
Township of Richmond, and by the south-western and north-
western boundaries of the Township of Richmond to the
sea.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of December, 1894.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by "The Factories Act, 1894" (hereinafter
termed "the said Act"), it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time divide New Zealand, or
any portion thereof, into such districts as he shall think fit,
and notice of the constitution of every such district shall be
given in the Gazette as occasion requires:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority conferred upon me by the said Act,
do hereby divide the portions of the said colony enumerated
in the Schedule hereto into districts for the purposes of the
said Act, the descriptions and boundaries whereof shall be
those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do hereby
declare that for the purposes of the said Act each of such
districts shall be known by the name set over the descrip-
tion of each such district respectively.
