Rural Land in the Southland Land District open for Selection.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on and after the fifth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may be selected on lease in perpetuity only, as it contains, or is supposed to contain, metals, minerals, or valuable stone; and I do hereby also fix the price at which the said land shall be leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

Sections 23 to 56, inclusive, are sparsely covered with miro, rimu, and kamai, of no commercial value, sawmillers having removed all marketable timber. Soil clay, and well watered, undulating. Height above sea-level varies from 8ft. to 300ft. Distance from Waikawa Township varies from 5 to 80 chains.

Notifying Lands in Auckland for Sale by Public Auction.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirteenth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, as the time at which the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction at Auckland, and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto opposite the description of such lands respectively.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint The Rev. HUGH CURRIE FRERE to be a Trustee, in the place of James Munro, resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kurow Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Vaccination Districts constituted.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in the Governor by "The Public Health Act, 1876," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing vaccination district known as the Amuri District, and do declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two vaccination districts, the names whereof shall be the Amuri and Cheviot Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of "The Marriage Act, 1880."
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fifteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.
