Notifying that the Dunedin Sanitary Institute may be
registered as a Limited Company without the Addition
of the Word "Limited."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this second day
of October, 1894.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Companies Act, 1882," His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
acting with the advice of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby direct that the association about to be
formed under the said Act as a limited company, under the
name of "The Dunedin Sanitary Institute," may, on application for that purpose, be registered with limited liability
without the addition of the word "Limited" to its name.

Domains Act, 1881."

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day
of October, 1894.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order
and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in
the Land District of Auckland, and known as the Birkenhead
Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto,
shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation
of and declared to be subject to the provisions of "The
Public Domains Act, 1881"; and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner
directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 112 acres 2 roods,
more or less, being portion of Allotment No. 122, Parish of
Takapuna, Waitemata Survey District, commencing at
the northernmost corner of Allotment No. 122, Bounded
easterly by a public road, 2815 links; thence southerly by
a line, 1160 links; thence again easterly by a line, 880
links; thence southerly by a public road, 2250 links; thence
south-westerly by a line, 2843 links; thence north-westerly
by a line to commencing-point, 4735 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the
official maps in the Survey Office, Auckland.

Powers delegated to the Birkenhead Domain Board under
"The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day
of October, 1894.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons, for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be
specified in such Order, and that every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked:
And whereas, pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land
described in the Schedule thereto is declared to be brought
under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions of
the said "Public Domains Act, 1881":
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the Colony of New Zealand, doth by this present Order
delegate all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned, except the powers under or conferred by sections five
and twelve thereof, to
The Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
BOROUGH OF BIRKENHEAD,
which shall be known as the Birkenhead Domain Board
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the third Monday in each month, at half-past seven o'clock
p.m., at the Borough Council Offices, or at such other time
or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the nineteenth
day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. -
The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third
Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of
such meeting. -
If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a
Chairman. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

Alteration in the Form of One-pound Postal Notes.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this ninth
day of October, 1894.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Post Office (Postal Notes) Act,
1885," as amended by section eight of "The Post
Office Acts Amendment Act, 1893" (hereinafter termed
"the said Acts"), power is given to the Governor in Council
to issue postal notes in such form as he may prescribe:
And whereas it is desirable to alter the form of postal notes
of the value of one pound:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred by the said Acts, and acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and direct that postal notes of
the value of one pound shall be issued in the form set forth
hereunder, namely:
NEW ZEALAND POSTAL NOTE.

No. To the Postmaster in charge of any money-
order office within the Colony of New Zealand. Pay on demand the sum of one pound
sterling.
