MOA ROAD BOARD.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Bristol Road West Special Rating District taken on the 12th September, 1894, upon the following proposals: (1.) To form and metal the Bristol Road West from the Junction Road eastwards. (2.) To borrow for such purpose the sum of £550 under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886." (3.) To strike as security for such loan a special rate of 1½d. in the pound. (4.) To constitute the Bristol Road West Special Rating District, to comprise the following lands: viz., Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 56, 57, Block I., Huiroa Survey District; Sections Nos. 14, 15, 16, 17, Block XIII., Waitara Survey District; Sections Nos. 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, Moa:—

Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 20; total number of votes exercisable, 20: Number of ratepayers who voted for proposal, 12; number of ratepayers who did not vote, 8.

I hereby declare the proposal carried.

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.

RESULT of poll taken at Mr. Swinnerton's store, Rahotu, on Saturday, 6th October, 1894, re proposal to raise a loan of £1,800, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of forming and metalling the Kahui East Road from the South Road to a point 10 chains along the frontage of Section 4, Block XV., Cape Survey District, and also to fall and stump the said road from end of present falling to the Forest Reserve:—

Number on special roll, 34, representing 34 votes: Number in favour of proposal, 25; number against, 1.

I therefore declare the above proposal carried.

RESULT of poll taken on the 10th day of October, 1894, on the proposal to borrow £700, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to form and metal the Mountain Road between the Manganui River and the Waipuku River:—

  • Number of ratepayers on special roll, 55; number of votes exercisable, 55: Number of ratepayers voting in favour of the proposal, 30; number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, 30; number of ratepayers voting against the proposal, 12; number of votes recorded against the proposal, 12; number of ratepayers voting informally, 1; number of votes recorded informally, 1.

I declare the proposal to be carried.

THE following special order, made by the Mauriceville Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT, to meet the interest and charges on a loan of £1,000, to be borrowed under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and amendments, for the purpose of constructing Dagg's Road from the junction with the Ihuraua Valley Road to the saddle at Section 95, Block IV., Kopuaranga, a special rate of 7½d. in the pound be made and levied on the rateable value for the time being of the following properties: viz., Sections 97, 98, Block III.; Sections 93, 94, 95, 99, part 2 of 96 (427 acres), Block IV., Kopuaranga; and part Section 92 (154 acres), Block XV., Mangaone: said rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years or until the loan is paid off, and payable in two equal instalments on the 2nd of January and 2nd of July in each year.

I certify that the above special order has been duly made by the Mauriceville Road Board in accordance with the provisions of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."
