IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

WILLIAM THOMAS and WILLIAM EVES

to be additional Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the Tokatoka Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the thirteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 9 of "The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,"

WILLIAM SANDERSON LAIDLAW, of Clyde, and FREDERICK CHARLES McCCLURE, of Wendon Valley,

have been appointed officers for the purposes of that Act within all that area in the Provincial District of Otago bounded on the east and south by the ocean from Shag Point to the mouth of the Mataura River; on the north-west by Lake County; on the west and south-west by the Mataura River; and on the north, north-west, and north-east by the Counties of Westland and Waitaki.

Licensing of Vehicles.-By-law made by Bay of Islands County Council.

IT is hereby notified, in accordance with section 311 of "The Counties Act, 1886," that so much and such parts of the by-laws made by the Bay of Islands County Council, and sealed on the 17th day of September, 1894, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the county funds for the licensing of vehicles has this day been approved by His Excellency the Governor.

Special Order made by the Ashburton County Council.

THE following special order, made by the Ashburton County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of "The Counties Act, 1886."

RESOLVED, That the Council do make a special order altering the boundaries of the Upper Ashburton and Mount Somers Road Districts, and such special order shall be as follows, that is to say,-

SPECIAL ORDER.

In compliance with the petition of the ratepayers of the Upper Ashburton Road District and of part of the Mount Somers Road District, which has been presented to the Council, and in pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Council by "The Road Boards Act, 1882," "The Road Boards Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1883," and of all other powers vested in it in that behalf, the County Council of the County of Ashburton doth hereby order and declare that the boundaries of the said road districts shall be altered, and that from and after the day upon which this special order shall be gazetted the boundaries of the said road districts, and of Subdivision No. 3 (Forks) of the Upper Ashburton Road District, shall be as follows, that is to say,-

The Upper Ashburton Road District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Canterbury, commencing at a point in the middle of the North Branch of the River Ashburton in line with the middle of a road passing through Rural Section No. 30589, situated about 5 chains to the north-west of a closed road, and bounded towards the north-east by the Mount Hutt Road District; thence again towards the north-east and towards the south-east and north-west generally by the South Rakaia Road
