MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Beaconsfield Road Special Rating District, taken on Monday, the 8th January, 1894, upon the following proposal: “Notice is hereby given that this Board proposes to raise a loan of £200, under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ for the purpose of forming and metalling the Beaconsfield Road from the Salisbury Road westwards; to strike as security on this loan a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound over the following lands—viz., Sections 19, Block IX.; 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 37, 38, 40, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, Block X.; 7, 8, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, Block XIII.; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, Block XIV.; 1 and 2, Block XV., Huiroa Survey District”:
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 59, representing 60 votes: Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 33; no votes were recorded against the proposal.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

RESULT of poll of ratepayers of the Denbigh Road Special Rating District, taken on Wednesday, the 3rd January, 1894, upon the following proposal: “This Board proposes (1) to raise a loan of £150, under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,’ (2) for the purpose of building a bridge over the Rum Keg Stream, on the Denbigh Road; (3) to strike as security on this loan a special rate of ½d. in the pound over the following lands—viz., Sections 1 to 23, both inclusive, situated between the Manganui and Te Popo Streams, the Mountain Road, and Mountain Reserve, Manganui Survey District”:
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 21, representing 21 votes: Number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 16; no votes were recorded against the proposal.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.
