Access: The southern end of the block is two miles by metalled track from the Karamea Dairy Factory; and the proposed Karamea-Collingwood Road will pass through the block.

Cash price, 6s. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 3·6d. per acre; lease in perpetuity, 2·88d. per acre.

All that block of land, containing approximately 5,000 acres, situated in the Land District of Nelson, being portions of Blocks I. and II., Kongahu Survey District, and portions of Blocks I. and V., Otumahana Survey District respectively. Commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Section 8, Block I., Kongahu District, distant 4 chains northward of its south-eastern corner; thence by a line due east for a distance of about 200 chains; thence by a line due south for a distance of about 210 chains to the Little Wanganui River; thence southerly along that river to a road forming the northern boundary of Section 28, Block II., Kongahu District; thence following the outside boundary of the surveyed sections to the point of commencement.

Description: The block is composed of low river-flats and undulating country, rising to a height of 250ft.; the soil on the flats is light, but generally fit for agricultural purposes; the formation of the hills being a species of limestone, and should make good grazing-country. The flats are covered by a dense scrub with a few white-pines, and the hills with a mixed bush of rimu and rata, with a little birch on the higher ridges.

Access to the block is by Mokihinui-Karamea metalled track. The Wanganui-Wangapeka Track, about to be constructed, will intersect the block. Distance from Karamea Settlement, about six miles.

Cash price, 6s. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 3·6d. per acre; lease in perpetuity, 2·88d. per acre.

All that block of land, containing approximately 7,300 acres, situated in the Land District of Nelson, being the unsurveyed portions of Blocks I., II., and III., Whangamoa Survey District (excepting Prospecting License No. 456, held by W. Stewart Balfour), together with that portion of Block VII., Whangamoa District, bounded as follows: Northward by Block III., Whangamoa; eastward partly by the French Pass Survey District, and partly by Brown’s Bay (Pelorus Sound); southward partly by Section 1, Block VII., Whangamoa, and partly by a road leading from the Pelorus Sound to Whakitenga Bay (Croxilles Harbour); and eastward and north-eastward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Sections 4 and 3, Block V., Whangamoa. And also that portion of Block XI., French Pass Survey District, lying between Fitzroy Bay and Brown’s Bay (Pelorus Sound), and terminating at Campbell Point.

Description: Rough broken hills, covered with stunted bush and scrub.

Access from the shores of Tasman Bay, Pelorus Sound, and Croixelles Harbour respectively. Distance from Nelson by sea, about 30 miles.

Cash price, 6s. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 3·6d. per acre; lease in perpetuity, 2·88d. per acre.

All that block of land, containing approximately 4,450 acres, situated in the Land District of Nelson, being the unsurveyed portions of Block VI., Wangapeka Survey District.

Description: Rough mountain slopes, heavily timbered. Bush principally birch.

Access by roads up the Rivers Clark and Skeet, and proposed tracks up other streams. Distance from Post-office, Baton River, about two miles.

Cash price, 5s. per acre; occupation with right of purchase, 3d. per acre; lease in perpetuity, 2·4d. per acre.
