✨ Special Orders by Road Boards
Ward of the Pohangina Road Board (Crown and Native lands excepted), for the purpose of providing interest on a loan of £2,000, to be borrowed under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” to complete roads within said Feilding Special Settlement Block, being part of No. 5 Ward; such rate to be annually recurring for twenty-six years, to be payable at the office of the Board in equal half-yearly instalments, on the 1st days of January and July in each year.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly made by the Pohangina Road Board, at a meeting held on Saturday, 13th January, 1894, as required by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” or amendments thereof.

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.—SKEET ROAD LOAN OF £65 STERLING.—SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT, to secure repayment of a loan of £65 (and interest thereon) raised under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of assisting in bridging Dunn’s Creek and Kaupokonui River, on Skeet Road, a special rate of 1/6d. in the pound be made and levied over Skeet Road Special Rating District, comprising the following sections: 22 and 31 to 40, Block XV., Kaupokonui Survey District, and 24 to 31 and 46 to 48, Block XIV., Kaupokonui Survey District (all inclusive). Such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and to be payable on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each year.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made at a special meeting of the Waimate Road Board held on Friday, 12th January, 1894.

SPECIAL ORDER No. 1, made on Saturday, 18th November, 1893; confirmed on Saturday, 23rd December, 1893.
Proposed by Warden Cassie, seconded by Warden Wallace,
“That notice be given that it is the intention of this Board, at its next meeting, to be held on Saturday, 23rd December, 1893, to make a special order striking a special rate of 2d. in the pound on the rateable values of Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 17, Block XV., Mount Robinson Survey District, and Section 6, Block III., Waiopohu Survey District. Such rate to be an annual recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and payable in one instalment on the 1st July in each year, for the purpose of providing for interest and other annual charges on a loan of £120, being 10 per cent. advance on the original loan of £1,200 raised under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886.’”

“That notice be given that it is the intention of this Board, at its next meeting, on Saturday, 23rd December, 1893, to make a special order striking a special rate of 8d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable lands (exclusive of all Crown and Native lands within the meaning of ‘The Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882’) comprised in the Muhunoa West Special District, which is bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-east corner of Section 39, Ohau, where it joins the main road; thence westerly along its northern boundary to Section 40; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 40 to Section 41; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Sections 40, 47, 48, 56, 55, 63, 64, 71, 72, 73, and 74, to Rural Section No. 2, Ohau; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 2 to its junction with the Waiwiri East Block; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of the said block, and Section 14, Horowhenua Block, to the main road, thence along the main road to the north-east corner of Section 14; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said section to its north-west corner; thence southerly along its western boundary to its junction with the Waiwiri East Block; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the Waiwiri Block to the eastern boundary of the part leased to Mr. Kebbell; thence southerly to the Muhunoa Block, and continuing in the same direction along the eastern boundary of the portion leased to Mr. Kebbell in Muhunoa No. 3 Block to the Ohau River; thence easterly along the said river to the main road, thence along the main road to the starting-point at Section 39, Ohau. Such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for a period of twenty-six years, and payable in one instalment on the 1st July in each year, to pay interest and other annual charges on a loan of £500 raised under ‘The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886.’”
