Bounded towards the north by the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 284, 285, 286, 287, and 288, Block XIV., Ongo Survey District, Sections Nos. 289, 290, 291, 292, 293, 294, and 295, the abuttal of a public road, Sections Nos. 296, 297, 298, 299, and 300, Block XV., and Section No. 188, Block XVI., to Mackay's Road; thence towards the east by the eastern side of the said road to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 166, Block III., Oroua Survey District; thence towards the south by Makino Subdivision, hereinbefore described; and towards the south-west by a line along the middle of the road forming the south-west boundaries of Sections Nos. 311 and 309, and by the south-west boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 302 and 301, Block II., Oroua Survey District, and the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 284, Block XIV., Ongo Survey District.

Bounded towards the north by the production of the south boundary-line of the Pakihikura Native Reserve, and by that reserve and by Sections Nos. 66, 56, 58, 60, 62, and 64, Block VII., Ongo Survey District, and thence by a straight line from the south-east corner of the last-named section to the Kiwitea River at the north-west corner of Section No. 1, Block VI., Apiti Survey District; thence towards the south-east by the Kiwitea River to its intersection with the northern boundary-line of Section No. 189, Block XVI., Ongo Survey District; thence towards the south by the Oroua and Waituna Subdivisions, hereinbefore described, and the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 14 and 13, Block XIV., Sections Nos. 12 and 11, Block XIII., same survey district, and a line to the middle of the Rangitikei River; and thence towards the north-west by a line along the middle of the said Rangitikei River.

Bounded towards the north by a line along the middle of the Kawhatau River, from its confluence with the Rangitikei River to the north-east corner of the Otamakapua No. 2B Block, Block XII., Hautapu Survey District; thence towards the south-east by the eastern boundary of the said Otama-kapua No. 2B Block to its south-eastern corner; thence by a right line to the north-west corner of Section No. 13, Block III., Apiti Survey District; thence by the western boundary of the said section to the Kiwitea River; thence by the said Kiwitea River to the northern boundary of Ongo Subdivision, hereinbefore described; thence towards the south by the said subdivision to the middle of the Rangitikei River; and towards the north-west by a line along the middle of the said river.

Bounded towards the north by Rangitikei County to the summit of Ruahine Range; towards the east by that summit to a point bearing N. 69° W., true meridian, to the source of the Oroua River; towards the south by a right line to that source; towards the south-east generally by a line along the middle of the Oroua River; towards the south by Kimbolton and Oroua Subdivisions, hereinbefore described; and towards the west by the Ongo and Hautapu Subdivisions, hereinbefore described.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the portion of the road known as the Alfredton-Weber Road described in the Schedule below, and which was made by the Governor under the powers contained in the said Act, and has hitherto been a Government road, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, situate in Puketoi Survey District, being a road of a width of not less than one chain, containing 51 acres 2 roods 13 perches, or thereabouts, the centre line of which commences at a point on the west bank of the Waitawhiti Stream 13307·9 links south and 8921·1 links east of Rata Trig. Station; and proceeds thence generally in an easterly direction to a traverse-peg lii., 9854·5 links south and 23998·1 links east of Rata Trig. Station, passing through Subdivisions 2, 8, 4, and 6 of Block XI.; thence generally in a northerly direction to a peg on the same road and numbered xcix., at the junction of the Utewai Road, 4612·3 links north and 29681·3 links east of the said trig. station, Rata, in Section 51, Block VII., Puketoi Survey District; thence generally north-easterly to a peg on the same line of road and marked xxi., 7000·6 links north and 39798·6 links east of said trig. station, Rata, in Block VII., Section 22, Puketoi Survey District, and about 3 chains from where the said road crosses the stream commonly called Deep Creek, a distance of 51580·1 links from the point of starting, and running through Sections 4, 19, and 44 of Block XI., Puketoi Survey District; thence through Sections 45, 25, 24, 51, and 22 of Block VII., Puketoi Survey District, to the point aforesaid numbered xxi., 7000·6 links north and 39798·6 links east of Rata Trig. Station: all in the Wairarapa North County; as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 17074, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon marked in red.

WHEREAS in accordance with the provisions of the fifth section of "The Land Drainage Act, 1893," a majority of the ratepayers in the Aorangi Block, of the County of Oroua, have presented a petition to His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand praying that the land comprised in the said block be constituted a drainage district under the provisions of the said Act: Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the fifth section of "The Land Drainage Act, 1893," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby constitute and declare the block of land described in the said petition, and in the Schedule hereto, to be a district for the purposes of Part I. of the said Act, and to be called by the name of "the Aorangi Drainage District"; and also, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the ninth section of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall consist of five members, to be elected under and in accordance with the said Act.
