Rural Lands in the Marlborough Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twentieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

Shooting Season for Imported Game, License-fee, &c., Hawera District.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock pheasants and quail may be taken or killed within the Hawera District, consisting of the Counties of Hawera and Patea, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and native game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmasters at Hawera and Patea are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-four.
