NOTE.—One-fourth of the rent paid during the first fifteen years is returned to the local body, to be spent in improving the access to the land.

DECLARATION.

I, , of* , do solemnly and sincerely declare—

  1. That I am of the age of seventeen years and upwards.

  2. That I am the person who, subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892," am desirous of becoming the purchaser of a lease of Run No. †

  3. That I am purchasing such lease solely for my own use and benefit, and not directly or indirectly for the use of any other person or persons whatever.

  4. That I am not already the holder of any such lease in any part of the colony, nor have I any interest in any such lease.

  5. That I am not the holder of any run under Part VI. of the aforesaid Act, nor have I any interest in any such run.

  6. That I do not own any freehold land or land held by lease or license of any kind whatever anywhere in the colony, either by myself or jointly with any other person, which, exclusive of the land I am now purchasing the lease of, will exceed in area 1,000 acres.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882."

Grazing Lease of Portion of Forest Reserve, Auckland, for Sale by Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned land, being portion of a State forest reserve, will be offered for lease for grazing purposes, in terms of section 232 of "The Land Act, 1892," for the term of seven years, by public auction, at this office, on Wednesday, the 31st January, 1894, at 11 a.m. :—

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Lots 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 111, 112, 113, 114, Parish of Wairau, 938 acres; upset annual rent, £5.

Rentals to be paid half-yearly in advance.

The lessee will have the right to use the land for grazing purposes only.

The lessee will have no right to fell or remove from the land any live or dead trees or timber, whether standing or lying on the ground.

Free rights of ingress, egress, and regress for any of the purposes of "The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885," shall be given to all persons duly authorised in that behalf.

The lessee may remove all fencing and buildings erected by him prior to the expiration of the term of the lease, but will have no right to valuation or compensation for improvements, or right of renewal of the lease.

Full particulars may be ascertained and plans obtained at this office.

Sale by Auction of Lease of University Reserve No. 28, Greymouth.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leaseholds of subdivisions of University Reserve No. 28, Town of Greymouth, set out hereunder, will be offered by public auction at the Land Office, Hokitika, on Thursday, the 28th December, at the hour of 2 o'clock in the afternoon, at the upset prices noted, for the term of fourteen years; improvements of value of £200 attaching to Subdivision 28A (in favour of the Greymouth Hospital).

Pastoral Licenses forfeited.

NOTICE to pay rents due on the following pastoral runs—viz., Runs 458 and 468, held by Hugh McPherson under Pastoral License 926, and Run 444, held by James Ferris under Pastoral License 931—having been given to the said licensees by advertisement in the Gazette of the 29th June last, and such rents being still unpaid, I hereby declare the said licenses forfeited, in pursuance of section 215 of "The Land Act, 1892."

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner will, under the authority and for the purposes of the said Acts, hold a Court at the Native Land Court, Whanganui, on the 18th day of December, 1893, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for investigating the case mentioned in the Schedule hereunder, at which time and place all persons interested in the said case, and having objections to the said dealings, are hereby notified to attend.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chief Judge of the Native Land Court will, with an Assessor, attend at the Native Land Court Office, at Auckland, on Friday, the 5th day of January, 1894, and then and there inquire into and determine upon an application for rehearing theretofore made upon the several decisions of the Native Land Court mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

All persons interested in the said application are requested to attend at the time and place aforesaid.
