Leases of Small Grazing-runs, Marlborough, open for
Application.

N OTICE is hereb given that leas of the under-men-tioned small grazing-runs will be open for application, at this office, on Wednesday, the 24th January, 1894, at the rent noted opposite each run.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLAS PASTORAL LAND.
Run No. 58, Onamalutu Survery District, 210 ares; an-nual rent, £2 12s. 6d.
Run No. 59, Onamalutu Survery District, 665 ares; an-nual rent, £3 6s. 3d.
These runs are situate at the back of freehold sections in Kaituna Valley, on Main Road, Blenheim to Nelon; partl scrub and partl bus; about twent miles from Blenheim and seven miles from Havelock.
CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

The term of leas is twent-y one years, with the option of renewa for a further period of twent-y one years, at a rent to be fixed by valuation, and improvments being securd to lesse as provided by "The Land Act, 1892," section 182. Each lesse is required to make the declara-tion as per form printd below.

No person can leas more than one run.

Residenc on the run is compulso, and commences within three years in bus or swam land, and within one year in open or partl open land, unless the lesse obtain the consent of the Land Board to resd on other land in his occupaion.

Permane improvments must be effected equal to one year's rent by the end of the first year, two years' rent by the end of the second year, and four years' rent at the end of the sixt year; and on bus land, in addition thereto, improvments must be made to the value of 10s. an acre if first-class land, or of 5s. an acre if second-class land.

One half-year's rent and £1 1s. for the leas must be paid immediatly the application has been approv; the rent to be paid half-yearly in advance during the term of the leas. The next payment of rent will become due on the 1st September, 1894.

The lesse has no right to purchas any part of the land; but he can select 150 ares around the homestad through which no road can be taken or other public privilge exercisd without compensaion.

And I make this solemn declaraion consciontl be-lieving the same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealnd intituled "The Justices of the Peac Act, 1882. "

N OTICE is hereb given that the under-mentioned small grazing-rn will be open for lea on application, at the District Lands and Survery Office, Christchurch, on and after Wednesday, the 24th January, 1894, at the annual rent noted opposite the rn. In case of more than one application for the rn on the same day, priority of selection will be decided by ballt on the following day, at 11 a.m.

These sections are situate adjacnt to and south of Burke's Pass, being part of the original Albur Staton, and com-prise generall mountainous and hilly open tussock countr of good qualit, rock and shingl on the main top and spurs, with patchs of undulating land and small flats. The sections are fairl well waterd by spring and stream. The elevaion of the countr range from 1,900ft. to about 4,300ft. above sea-level, and it is subject to heavy fall of snow, which lie on the higher land during the winter. The acces is by the main road connectng Burke's Pass with Albur, the distance therefrom to the nearst points on the sections being respectivl about four miles and fourteen miles. The Duk Stream and other branch road are unform. The sections, except for the drawback of being subject to fall of snow, are by qualit of so and situation well adapt for pastoral pursuits. These sections are disposd of subject to the right of the Cown to amnd boundar and areas, and to take all necessar road.
