Result of Polls for Proposed Loans, Wirokino Road Board,
County of Horowhenua.

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of
the Wirokino Road Board, are published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1886."

Wirokino Road Board.—Result of Polls.

I, JOHN DAVIES, Chairman of the Wirokino Road Board,
hereby publicly notify the results of polls taken under "The
Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," as under,
to be as follows:—

Poll taken on the 1st December, 1893, at Mr. J. Small's
residence, Kingston Road, on a proposal to raise a loan of
£550 to metal the Kingston Road :—Number of ratepayers
on special roll, 15; votes exercisable on special roll, 18;
number of ratepayers voting in favour, 9; number of votes
in favour, 11; votes not recorded, 7; majority of ratepayers
voting in favour, 3; majority of votes in favour, 4. As a
majority of ratepayers, exercising more than half the exer-
cisable number of votes, have voted in favour, I hereby
declare the proposal carried.

Poll taken on the 2nd December, 1893, at Mr. A. J.
Whyte's residence, Albert Road, on a proposal to raise a
loan of £250 under the said Act to metal the Albert Road :—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 7; votes exercisable
on special roll, 9; number of ratepayers voting in favour,
4; number of votes in favour, 5; votes not recorded, 4;
majority of ratepayers voting in favour, 1; majority of votes
in favour, 1. As a majority of ratepayers, exercising more
than one-half the exercisable number of votes on the special
roll, have voted in favour, I hereby declare the proposal
carried.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, County of Stratford.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of
the Stratford County Council, is published in ac-
cordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1886."

Stratford County Council.

Result of poll taken on the 2nd day of December, 1893,
upon the proposal to borrow £200, under "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to grade for cart-traffic
the Standish Road :—

Total number of ratepayers on special roll, 6; total num-
ber of votes exercisable, 6; total number of ratepayers voting
in favour of the proposal, 5; total number of votes recorded
in favour of the proposal, 5; total number of ratepayers
voting against the proposal, nil.

I declare the proposal to be carried.

Special Order made by the Ngatapa Road Board, Cook
County.

THE following special order, made by the Ngatapa Road
Board, is published in accordance with the provisions
of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

A Special Order, made on the 28th Day of October, 1893,
and confirmed on the 2nd Day of December, 1893.

Resolved, That an annual special rate of 8d. in the pound
be made on the rateable value of the following lands for a
period of twenty-six years, commencing on 1st January,
1894, and ending 31st December, 1919, for the purpose of
providing interest upon a loan of £2,000, to be obtained in
terms of "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act,
1886," for the purpose of constructing a road to connect
with the road from Ngatapa Station and extend it to the
sections named in the Schedule. The rate to be due and
payable in two equal instalments on the 1st of January and
the 1st of November in each year.
