I certify that the foregoing special order has been made
in accordance with law, and that all the provisions of "The
Road Boards Act, 1882," and "The Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1886," have been complied with.

Notice of Intention to take Lands for the Riwaaka Valley Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1882," to exe-
cute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of portion
of a road in Riwaaka Road District known as the Riwaaka
Valley Road, and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken; and notice is further given that the plan of the said
road and of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in
the post-office at Riwaaka, and is there open for inspection.
And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

particularly delineated upon the plans above mentioned,
deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Welling-
ton, and thereon coloured red.
As witness my hand, at Wellington, this fifth day
of December, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-three.

Altering and appointing Districts for the Collection of Duty under "The Beer Duty Act, 1880."
WHEREAS it is expedient to alter the boundaries of
the Districts of Westport and Greymouth heretofore
appointed under and for the purposes of "The Beer Duty
Act, 1880":
Now, therefore, in exercise of the power for this purpose
vested in me by "The Beer Duty Act, 1880," and for the
purposes thereof, I, the Commissioner of Trade and Cus-
toms, do hereby order and appoint that, on and after the
12th day of December, 1893, the District of Westport, as
existing immediately before this order takes effect, shall
thereafter include the Borough of Westport and the County
of Buller, and the District of Greymouth, as existing imme-
diately before this order takes effect, shall thereafter include
the Borough of Greymouth and the Counties of Grey and
Inangahua.
And I do declare that the Collectors appointed for each
such district, as altered hereby, and the places at which the
duties leviable under the said Act are payable, shall be and
remain as if this order had not been made, that is to say,—
(1.) In respect of the District of Westport—The Col-
lector at the Port of Westport; and the place of
payment, the Customhouse there.
(2.) In respect of the District of Greymouth—The Col-
lector at the Port of Greymouth; and the place
of payment, the Customhouse there.
Given under my hand, at Wellington, this twelfth day
of December, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-three.
