point the under-mentioned gentlemen to be Regis-
trars of Marriages and of Births and Deaths, and also Vac-
cination Inspectors, for the districts set respectively opposite
their names, viz. :—

extended jurisdiction to £100, and to be a Warden for the
Hauraki Mining District.

Results of Polls for Proposed Loans (2), Clifton County.

THE following notices, received from the Chairman of the
Clifton County Council, are published in accordance
with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

CLIFTON COUNTY.
RESULT of a poll taken at Dr. Hutchinson's residence, Tara-
mouke, Ngatimaru Riding, on Saturday, 14th October, 1893,
on a proposal to raise a loan of £2,845, under "The Govern-
ment Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of
metalling a portion of the Junction Road, Ngatimaru Riding,
and forming a portion of the Oapui Road, and forming a por-
tion of the Wiri Road :—
Number on special roll, 35, capable of exercising 35 votes ;
number who voted in favour of the proposal, 27; number
who did not vote, 8.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

CLIFTON COUNTY.
RESULT of a poll taken at the Clifton County Council Office,
Waitara, on Saturday, 14th October, 1893, on a proposal to
raise a loan of £650, under "The Government Loans to Local
Bodies Act, 1886," for the purpose of forming a portion of
the Autawa and Pita Roads, in the Ngatimaru Riding :—
Number on special roll, 11; number who voted in favour
of the proposal, 9; number who did not vote, 2; total num-
ber of votes exercisable, 11.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

DISTRICT.
THE following is the result of a poll taken on the 13th Sep-
tember, 1893, upon a proposal to borrow £1,100, in terms of
"The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for
the purpose of constructing a dray-road from Tokomaru to
Whareohine :—
Number of ratepayers on special roll, 8, entitled to exercise
16 votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal,
5, exercising 9 votes; number of ratepayers who voted against
the proposal, nil.
I declare the proposal to be carried.
