THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special rate of 3½d. in the pound be hereby made over the whole of the rateable value of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands excepted) within No. 3 Ward of the Pohangina Road Board, and lying between the Coal Creek and Oroua River, for the purpose of providing interest on a loan of £4,970 to be borrowed under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for road-construction within the said ward. Such rate to be annually-recurring for twenty-six years, and to be payable at the office of the Board, at Feilding, in equal half-yearly instalments, on the 1st days of April and October in each year.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly made by the Pohangina Road Board, at a meeting held on Saturday, the 2nd day of September, as required by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” or amendments thereof.

Special Order made by the Mauku Road Board, County of Manukau, dividing District into Three Wards, and allocating Maintenance of certain Roads and Bridges.

THE following special order, made by the Mauku Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER passed at a Meeting of the Mauku Road Board held at the Public Hall, Patumahoe, Mauku, on Friday, the 18th Day of August, 1893.

PROPOSED by Mr. W. T. Wright, seconded by Mr. W. Goldsworthy, and carried,

That the Mauku Road District be divided into three wards, under the names of the Waiau Ward, the West Mauku Ward, and the Patumahoe Ward, with the following boundaries respectively:—

The Waiau Ward.—That portion of the Mauku Road District bounded towards the north generally by the Manukau Harbour; towards the east generally by the south-western boundary of the Parish of Karaka from Sutton’s Creek to the eastern corner of Lot 12 of a subdivision into allotments of original Allotment 11, Parish of Waiau; towards the south generally by the centre of the Waiuku and Drury Roads to the southern corner of Allotment 20 of the same parish; towards the west generally by the Mauku River, the Taihiki Estuary, and the Waiuku Estuary to the Manukau Harbour, the place of commencement.

The West Mauku Ward.—That portion of the Mauku Road District bounded towards the north generally by the waters of the Taihiki River; towards the east generally by the said Taihiki River and the Mauku River, by the south-western boundary of the Allotment 24, Parish of Pimi, thence by that boundary produced easterly to the middle of the road forming its eastern boundary, thence by a line along the middle of the said road to a point on the same being the termination of a right line produced in continuation of the south-western boundary of Lot 20 of the said parish, thence by the said right line by part of the south-western boundary of said Allotment 20 to the eastern corner of Allotment 22, and thence by a continuation of the said boundary in a straight line dividing Allotment 20 to the point of intersection with the north-western boundary of Allotment 27, again by the south-eastern boundary of Allotments 20 and 26 to a point 6850 links from the eastern corner of said Allotment 26, then by a straight line from the said point to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 28, 5156 links from the eastern corner of Allotment 27, and thence by a straight line to a point on the boundary of the Pukekohe West Road District opposite the northern corner of Allotment 31, thence by the boundary of the Pukekohe West Road District to the northern corner of Allotment 33; towards the south generally by the said Pukekohe West Road District; and towards the west generally by the said Pukekohe West Road District and Waiuku Road District to the place of commencement.

The Patumahoe Ward.—That portion of the Mauku Road District bounded towards the north generally by the Waiau Ward; towards the east generally by the Karaka and Pukekohe West Road Districts; and towards the west generally by the West Mauku Ward to the place of commencement.

That the three wards shall contribute equally to the maintenance of the long bridge over the Mauku River on the Waiuku and Drury Road; and the Waiau and Patumahoe Wards shall contribute equally to the maintenance of the said Waiuku and Drury Road so far as it lies between the said two wards.

That there shall be one member of the Board for the Waiau Ward, two members of the Board for the West Mauku Ward, and two members of the Board for the Patumahoe Ward.

I, Joseph Walker, clerk to the Mauku Road Board, hereby certify that the above is a true copy of what it purports to be, and that the same was duly passed according to law.

Special Order made by the Rodney County Council, altering Boundaries of certain Road Districts and Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Rodney County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Rodney County Council at a Duly-constituted Special Meeting, held at the Council Chamber, Warkworth, on Thursday, the 25th May, 1893, and confirmed at a Special Meeting, at the same place, on Thursday, the 27th July, 1893.

THAT the boundaries of the Ahuroa, Tauhoa, Puhoi, and Upper Mahurangi Road Districts and Ridings be altered in accordance with the following schedules of amended boundaries. (See schedules attached.)

I certify that above special order has been made in conformity to the Act.

THE AHUROA ROAD DISTRICT.

Amended Boundaries.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the north-eastern angle of Section No. 24 of the Parish of Komokoriki, bounded towards the north-west generally by parts of the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of the Parish of Komokoriki, and by part of the north-western boundary of the Parish of Ahuroa as far as the middle of the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 22 of that parish: towards the east generally by a line running in a southerly direction along the middle of that road to a point on the same being the termination of a right line produced north-easterly in continuance of the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 18; thence by the right line aforesaid and the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 18, by another right line crossing a road 100 links wide to the north-eastern angle of Section No. 87, also of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid; thence by the northern boundary of that section, and by that boundary produced to the middle of the road at its north-western angle; thence by a line running along the middle of that road to a point on the same being the termination of a right line produced easterly in continuance of the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 33 of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid; thence by the right line and the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 33 to the north-eastern boundary of the Parish of Komokoriki; and thence southerly by part of the eastern boundary of that parish to its south-eastern angle: towards the south by part of the southern boundary of the Parish of Komokoriki to the south-western angle of Section No. 50 of that parish: and towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of Section No. 50, and by that boundary produced to the middle of the road which forms its north-western boundary; thence by a line along the middle of the aforesaid road to a point on the same being the termination of a right line produced in continuance of the western boundary of Section No. 58; thence by the right line aforesaid and the south-western boundary of Section No. 58, a line crossing a road 100 links wide, by the northern boundary of Section No. 60, and by that boundary produced to the middle of the road at its north-western angle; thence by a line along the middle of that road to a point on the same being the termination of a right line produced southerly in continuance of the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 65; thence by the right line aforesaid, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section No. 65, a line crossing another road 100 links wide, and by the line which forms the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 35, 33, and 31, and by that line produced to the middle of the road which forms the north-western boundary of the latter section; thence by a line along the middle of that road to a point on the same being the termination of another right line produced in continuance of the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 29; and thence by the line which forms the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, and 24, to the commencing-point.
