boundary of Section No. 81, Parish of Arai, bounded
Towards the north-east by the middle of that road to the
western boundary-line of Section No. 1 of Block VIII.,
Pakiri Survey District; and thence by part of the western
and the whole of the northern boundary of that section to
the Hoteo River: towards the south-east by the Hoteo River
aforesaid to a point on its northern side being the termina-
tion of a right line produced in continuance of the western
boundary of the forest reserve (containing 1,525 acres)
situate in Block X., Tauhoa Survey District; and thence by
the right line aforesaid and the western boundary of that
reserve to its south-western angle: towards the south by
part of the northern boundary of the Mataia Block to the
Kaipara Estuary: towards the west by the Kaipara Estuary
and the waters of the Tauhoa River to the south-eastern
boundary of the Wharehine Road District: and towards the
north-west by the south-eastern boundaries of the Whare-
hine and Albertland South Road Districts, and part of the
southern boundary of the Arai Road District, to the com-
mencing-point.

THE PUHOI ROAD DISTRICT AND RIDING.

Amended Boundaries.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing
at the north-western angle of Section No. 31 of the Parish
of Ahuroa, bounded towards the north generally by the
northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 31 and 32, and by the
latter boundary produced easterly to the middle of the road
at its north-eastern boundary; thence by a line along the
middle of that road to a point on the same being the termi-
nation of a right line produced westerly in continuance of
the northern boundary of Section No. 87 of the aforesaid
parish; thence by the right line aforesaid and the northern
boundary of Section No. 87 to its north-eastern angle; thence
by a right line crossing a road to the southernmost angle of
Section No. 18; thence by the south-eastern boundary of
that section and by that boundary produced north-easterly
to the middle of the road which forms its north-eastern
boundary; thence northerly by a line along the middle of
that road to the southern boundary of the Upper Mahurangi
Road District; and thence by part of the southern boundary
of that district to Mahurangi Harbour: towards the east by
Mahurangi Harbour aforesaid and the sea to the North Head
of the Waiwera River: towards the south by the Waiwera
River aforesaid, and the southern boundary of the Parish of
Puhoi: and towards the west by the western boundary of the
Parish of Puhoi aforesaid, and by parts of the southern and
eastern boundaries of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid, to the
commencing-point.

THE UPPER MAHURANGI ROAD DISTRICT AND RIDING.

Amended Boundaries.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing
at the south-western angle of Section No. 64, Parish of
Hoteo, bounded towards the north generally by the southern
and part of the eastern boundaries of Section No. 64, the
south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 89, 88, and 87, by
a right line to the south-western angle of Section No. 84, by
part of the south-western boundary of Section No. 84 afore-
said, the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 51, the
north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 48 and 47, the
north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Section
No. 46, the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 81, the
southern, western, and eastern boundaries of Section No. 82,
all of the Parish of Hoteo aforesaid, and by the latter
boundary produced northerly to the middle of the road at
its north-eastern angle; thence easterly by the middle of
that road to a point on the same being the termination of a
right line produced westerly in continuance of the southern
boundary-line of Section No. 31 of the said parish; thence
by the right line aforesaid and the southern boundary of
Section No. 31 to its south-eastern angle; thence by a right
line to the summit of the Dome; thence by another right
line to the northernmost angle of Section No. 110 of the
Parish of Mahurangi; and thence by a branch of the Mata-
kana River to the south-eastern angle of Section No. 28 of
the Parish of Matakana: towards the east generally by the
waters of Matakana River to the north-western boundary of
the Eastern Mahurangi Road District; thence by that
boundary and the waters of Mahurangi Harbour to the
southernmost point of Section No. 127 of the Mahurangi
Parish: towards the south generally by the waters of
Mahurangi Harbour to the easternmost angle of Section No.
83 of the Parish of Mahurangi; thence by the north-eastern
and north-western boundaries of that section, part of the
north-eastern and the north-western boundary of Section
No. 115, the south-western boundary of Section No. 108, to
the stream at its north-western boundary, and by the afore-
said stream to the middle of the road which forms the
western boundary of Section No. 156; thence by a line along
the middle of that road to a point on the same being the
termination of a right line produced easterly in continuance
of the southern boundary of the middle portion of Section

158; thence by the right line aforesaid, by the southern and
western boundaries of the middle portion of Section No. 158
aforesaid, and part of the western boundary of the northern
portion of that section to the middle of the road which forms
the southern boundary of Section No. 78 of the Parish of
Ahuroa, and by a line along the middle of that road to a
point on the same being the termination of a right line pro-
duced easterly in continuance of the south-western boundary
of Section No. 61 of the last-named parish; thence by the
right line aforesaid and the south-western boundary of Sec-
tion No. 61, the south-western boundary of Section No. 59,
and by that boundary produced westerly to the middle of the
road which forms its north-western boundary; thence by a
line along the middle of that road to a point on the same
being the termination of a right line produced easterly in
continuance of the southern boundary of Section No. 42;
thence by the right line aforesaid and the southern bound-
aries of Sections No. 42 and 37, and by the latter boundary
produced westerly to the middle of the road which forms the
eastern boundary of Section No. 20; thence northerly by a
line along the middle of the aforesaid road to the northern
boundary of Section No. 22, also of the Parish of Ahuroa
aforesaid; thence westerly generally by part of the northern
boundary of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid to the eastern
boundary of the Parish of Komokoriki; and thence by part
of the eastern and part of the northern boundary of the
Parish of Komokoriki aforesaid to the eastern boundary of
the Mataia Block: towards the west by the eastern and
part of the northern boundary of the Mataia Block afore-
said and the western boundary of a forest reserve (con-
taining 1,525 acres) to the Hoteo River: and towards the
north-west by the Hoteo River aforesaid to the commencing-
point.

Council.

accordance with the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1886."

PAHIATUA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Result of poll for proposed loan of £1,600 for the erection
of a bridge over the Mangatainoka River:—
The following is the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Pahiatua, taken on the 5th day of September,
1893, on the proposal of the Pahiatua Borough Council to
borrow the sum of £1,600, under "The Government Loans to
Local Bodies Act, 1886," and "The Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1886," for the construction of a bridge over the Mangatainoka
River:—
Number of ratepayers on roll 270, representing 328 votes;
number of ratepayers voted 145, exercising 195 votes; number
of ratepayers voting for the proposal 139, exercising 189
votes; number of ratepayers voting against the proposal 6,
exercising 6 votes.
As the number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal
represented a majority of the number of ratepayers on the
roll, and as the number so voting in favour of the proposal
are entitled to more than half the number of votes which
could be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I
hereby declare the proposal carried.
