Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
or Selection.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth
section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received
the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the
said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural
lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for
sale or selection on and after the eighteenth day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three; and also that
the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option
of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for
occupation with right of purchase, or on lease in perpetuity,
or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain
any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease
in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at
which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as
mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that
the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and
subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

Coromandel Survey District.—Block IX.
Two-thirds open land, fern and tea-tree; remainder mixed
forest. Land broken, and of medium quality. Adjoins the
Coromandel Harbour, and situate about five miles from the
township by the main Coromandel-Thames Road, which
passes along the boundary.

All mixed forest, except Sections 132 and 136, which are
mostly open land, but have a small quantity of forest along
the Mangawai Stream. The land is of fair quality, situated
about eight miles from Paparoa. The access is by the new
Paparoa-Waikiekie Road.

this seventeenth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.

Revoking Appointment of Russell as a Warehousing Port.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers in me vested by "The Customs
Laws Consolidation Act, 1882," I, David, Earl of Glas-
gow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
declare that the Port of Russell shall, from the first day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three,
cease to be a warehousing port, or a port for the importation
of tobacco.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-fifth day of August, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.
