The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Saturday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land called or known as the Hot Springs Reserve, situate in Block IX., Te Aroha Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 1 of the Town of Te Aroha, and by land hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others, 1818 links; towards the north-east by land hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others aforesaid, 1100 links; towards the south-east by land hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others aforesaid, 1818 links; and towards the south-west by Whitaker Street, 1100 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

GLASGOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two hundred and thirty-fifth section of "The Land Act, 1892," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land District of Auckland enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, and opposite the descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
