At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of August, 1893.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated
the thirty-first day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-eight, making delegation of certain powers in
manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice
and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with
respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the
Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act afore-
said, except the powers under or conferred by sections five
and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who
shall be known as the Alfredton Domain Board, namely,-
DUGALD CAMPBELL MACQUARIE,
JOHN BONSTEAD, and
FRANCIS HENRY DUNDERDALE
(hereinafter referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,-
- The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the third Wednesday in each month, at seven o'clock p.m., at
Alfredton, or at such other time or place as may from time
to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be
held on Wednesday, the twentieth day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-three. - Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. - Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. - The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third
Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. - If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the

SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 100 acres, more or
less, being Section No. 201, Block XII., Mangaone Survey
District. Bounded on the north by the Moroa Native Re-
serve and the abutment of a road, 1269 links; on the
east by section No. 204, 4039 links; on the south by section
No. 79, 760 links, by the abutment of a road, 88 links, and by
Section No. 116, 2187 links; on the west by the Ihuraua
River, 6050 links, by a line, 279 links, and by a public road,
667 links; and towards the north-west by the abutment of
a public road, 1014 links, and by Section No. 202, 2202
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of August, 1893.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by a majority of the Native owners of the
land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto,
praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such land
contained in the Land Transfer certificate bearing date the
twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-seven, described in the first column of the said
Schedule, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been
duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court has
reported that the provisions of the law in that behalf have
been complied with: And whereas it appears expedient to
grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said Land Transfer certificate on
the alienation of the said land are hereby removed.

three. - Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. - Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
