assign such names and boundaries to each ward as he thinks
fit: And whereas not less than one-fourth of the burgesses
of the Borough of Onslow have petitioned me to divide such
borough into wards:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the herein-
before-recited authority, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the Borough of Onslow shall be and the same is hereby
divided into three wards, with the names and boundaries
set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
NORTH WARD.

All that portion of the Borough of Onslow bounded towards
the north by the north side of the old Ohariu Road, from the
south-eastern corner of Section No. 91, Ohariu, to a point in
line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 94,
Ohariu; thence towards the south-east by a right line across
the old Ohariu Road to the northernmost corner of the said
Section No. 94; thence by a right line to the southernmost
corner of Section No. 94 aforesaid; thence towards the north-
east by Sections Nos. 95 and 107, Ohariu, to the southern-
most corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards
the north-west by the said Section No. 107 to the western-
most corner of Section No. 6, Porirua; thence again towards the
north-east by the said Section No. 6, to and across the Porirua
Road, to the eastern side of that road; thence towards the
east generally by the eastern side of the said Porirua Road
to the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company's land
in Section No. 5, Porirua; thence by the north-eastern and
south-eastern boundary-lines of the said company's land to
Section No. 4, Porirua; thence again towards the north-
east by the said Section No. 5, Porirua, to Harbour Section
No. 7; thence towards the south-east by said Section No. 7
and Sections Nos. 6, 5, 4, 3, and part of 2, to the Kaiwarra
Stream; towards the south and south-west generally by that
stream to the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 8,
Kaiwarra; thence by that section and the south-western
boundary-line of Section No. 7, Kaiwarra; and towards the
north-west generally by Section No. 11, Kaiwarra, and Sec-
tion No. 128, Ohariu, to the northernmost corner of Sec-
tion No. 9, Kaiwarra; thence by a right line to the southern-
most corner of Section No. 90, Ohariu; thence by the said
Section No. 90 to its north-eastern corner; and thence by a
right line to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 91,
Ohariu, aforesaid.

EAST WARD.

All that portion of the Borough of Onslow bounded towards
the north-east by Harbour Section No. 7 and the production
of the south-western boundary-line thereof to Wellington
Harbour; thence towards the west by Wellington Harbour
to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of
Harbour Section No. 2; thence towards the south-west
generally by a right line to the easternmost corner of that
section, thence by the said Section No. 2 and the Kaiwarra
Stream; and towards the north-west by North Ward herein-
before described.

SOUTH WARD.

All that portion of the Borough of Onslow bounded towards
the north-east generally by North Ward and East Ward
hereinbefore described; towards the east by Wellington
Harbour; towards the south generally by the City of Wel-
ington and the Borough of Karori; and towards the west
generally by the Kaiwarra Stream, and Native reserve, Otari
(366 acres).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of
August, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.

Bodies' Powers Act, 1887."

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of August, 1893.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the Cromwell Athenaeum (Incorporated),
being a leasing authority within the meaning of
"The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed
"the said Act"), has requested that these presents should
issue, and it appears expedient to make the order hereinafter
contained:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Cromwell
Athenaeum (Incorporated) shall, as from the date of publica-
tion hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be subject to the
provisions of the said Act.

Warea and Rahotu Recreation-grounds brought under "The
Public Domains Act, 1881."

GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of August, 1893.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order
and declare that the reserves made for public recreation in
the Land District of Taranaki, which are known as the
Warea and Rahotu Recreation-grounds, and are described
in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same are hereby
brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to
the provisions of "The Public Domains Act, 1881."

SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 26 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 71, Block VIII., Cape Survey District. Bounded
on the north by the Teikaparua Stream; on the east by a
road, 720 links; on the south by section No. 72, 2450 links;
and on the west by Section No. 72, 181 links.

All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 28 acres 2 roods 11 perches, more
or less, being Section No. 45, Block I., Opunake Survey
District. Bounded on the north by a road, 2451 links; on
the east by the South Road, 1312·5 links; on the south by
Sections Nos. 47 and 46, 2283·7 links; and on the west by
a road, 1215·8 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is
delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, New Plymouth.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons, for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be
specified in such order, and that every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked:
And whereas pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land
described in the Schedule thereto is declared to be brought
under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions
of the said "Public Domains Act, 1881":

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony
of New Zealand, doth by this present order delegate all the
powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned, except
the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve
thereof, to

The Parihaka Road Board,

which shall be known as the Warea and Rahotu Domain
Board (herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—
