Lands taken for a Road, Alfredton Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS on the fourteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three, a Proclamation was issued under the eleventh section of "The Public Works Act, 1882," taking certain lands in the Alfredton Road District for the purposes of a road:
And whereas the said Proclamation incorrectly describes part of the land—viz., two roods thirteen perches—purported to be taken under the said Proclamation as part of section seventy-eight, block sixteen, Mangaone Survey District, instead of part of section seventy-nine of the same block:
And whereas it is expedient to cancel portion of the said recited Proclamation, and to make provision in lieu thereof in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1889," and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said recited Proclamation as deals with, or purports to take for the purposes of the said Proclamation, any portion of section seventy-eight, block sixteen, Mangaone Survey District, and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that two roods thirteen perches of section seventy-nine of the said block shall on the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette be taken for the purpose of constructing the said road; and, further, that the portion of the said section seventy-nine hereby taken is more particularly delineated in the amended plan marked S.G. 18471, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured brown.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and seventy-second section of "The Land Act, 1892," and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and seventy-two to one hundred and eighty-six of Part V. of "The Land Act, 1892," relating to small grazing-runs.

WHEREAS by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," section twenty-seven, it is enacted that, if not less than one-fourth of the burgesses of a borough petition the Governor praying him to divide such borough into wards, the Governor may, by Proclamation, divide such borough into not more than six wards, and shall in such Proclamation
