it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by
Order in Council, alter and redefine the boundaries of any
district constituted under the said Act: And whereas the
district known as "The Hawke's Bay Rabbit District" has
been constituted under the said Act, and it appears ex-
pedient to alter the boundaries of the same in manner
hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by the said Act, and acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby alter and redefine the boundaries
of the said Hawke's Bay Rabbit District, so constituted as
aforesaid, and doth hereby declare that the boundaries of
the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule
hereto, and that the name of the said district, and the
Board of Trustees acting for such district, shall continue as
at present existing, subject to the provisions of the said Act;
and, further, that this Order in Council shall take effect on
and after the twenty-seventh day of June, 1893.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the Colony of New Zealand, comprising
the Counties of Hawke's Bay, Waipawa, and Patangata,
together with that portion of the County of Wairoa, bounded
as follows, viz.: Commencing at Te Ngaru; thence by the
sea, northward to the mouth of the Mohaka River; thence
by the Mohaka River to its intersection with the south
boundary of the Wairoa County; thence by said county-
boundary to the point of commencement.

Place where Miners' Rights and Business Licenses may be
issued.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the nineteenth section of "The
Mining Act, 1891," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the post-
office at the under-mentioned place to be a post-office at
which miners' rights and business licenses respectively may
be issued by the Postmaster in charge of such post-office,
viz.:—

Regulations under "The Friendly Societies Act, 1882," and
its Amendments.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon him in this behalf by "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1882," and its amendments, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand doth revoke the
regulations numbered seventeen and eighteen of the regula-
tions made under the said Act on the sixteenth day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, under
the heading "Juvenile Societies," and in lieu thereof doth
hereby make and prescribe the following regulations, viz.:—
Juvenile Societies.
Sec. 13 (10).
-
Societies and branches consisting wholly of members
between three and twenty-one years of age may be registered
provided they are—
(a.) In connection with some institution or school, and
managed by the managers or teachers thereof, or
by a committee appointed wholly or partly by
such managers or teachers;
(b.) In connection with some society registered under
the Act, or a branch of any such society, and
managed by the committee or officers of such
society or branch, or by persons appointed wholly
or partly by them. -
The rules of every such society or branch shall con-
tain provisions for the following matters in addition to those
required in the case of societies by Schedule I. of the Act
and Form No. 1 to these regulations, and in the case of
branches by Regulation 50:—
(1.) Whether or not parents and guardians of members
shall be entitled to be present and vote at meet-
ings of the society, and to perform acts of mem-
bership on behalf of their children.
(2.) The giving of security by the treasurer.
(3.) The investment of the funds in a savings-bank, or in
Government or real securities, but not otherwise.
(4.) The acceptance of a member into a registered society
or branch, or the payment to him of a share of
the accumulated funds, if any, on his attaining
the age of sixteen years or upwards.
The forms annexed to Regulations 1 to 63 may be modified,
by authority of the Registrar, to suit their application to
juvenile societies or branches.

this twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.

Rural Lands in the Marlborough Land District open for Sale or Selection.
GLASGOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth
section of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having
received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the
rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the ninth day of
August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may,
at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease
in perpetuity, or, in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected
on lease in perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased,
as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and
subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."
