Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section
of "The Land Act, 1892," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the
report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on and after the twenty-third day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-three; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option
of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase or on lease in perpetuity, or,
in respect of any lands containing or supposed to contain any metal, mineral, or valuable stone, be selected on lease in
perpetuity only; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased,
as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and
subject to the provisions of "The Land Act, 1892."

This section contains a little kahikatea bush and about 12 acres very wet swamp, the remainder being open poor land.
The land lies about sixteen miles from Kawakawa, with no road of access. Subject to £20 for improvements, consisting of
a store and outbuildings.

Section 10, mixed-bush land, with some clearing. These lands are watered by the Takahue River, and are on the main
road to Victoria Valley, distant about seven miles.

Section 11, about 8 acres open flat land, subject to floods, remainder undulating to broken land, covered with tea-tree
and mixed bush; soil good. Section 14, about six acres flat land, the remainder is hilly and covered with tea-tree and
light bush; soil fairly good quality. Section 11 adjoins Helena Bay, and Section 14 has a frontage to the formed road
connecting with Helena Bay.
