provided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than thirty days from
the date of the first public notification hereof in the New
Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions
mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated
in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT. — UNSURVEYED LAND. — WHA-
NGAREI COUNTY.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in Blocks X. and XIV., Hukerenui Survey District,
and containing approximately 1,660 acres. Bounded towards
the north by a right line being the production in a westerly
direction of the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 24, 25,
and 26 of Block X., Hukerenui Survey District, by that
boundary, and by Sections Nos. 27, 29, and 36 of the same
block; towards the east by the western boundary of Block
XI., and Sections Nos. 14 and 13 of Block XV., Hukerenui
Survey District; towards the south generally by a public
road; and towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 6A
and 6 of Block XIV., and No. 34 of Block X., Hukerenui
Survey District, and by the eastern boundary of the last-
mentioned section produced in a northerly direction to the
point of commencement.

Open and swamp lands of inferior description, about eight
miles from Hikurangi Post-office, and accessible by formed
bridle-road.

Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre; occupation with right of
purchase, 4½d. per acre; lease in perpetuity, 3·6d. per acre.

Land set apart for the Canterbury Society of Arts.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred by the second section of "The Canterbury
Society of Arts Reserve Act 1889 Extension Act, 1891," I
David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby set apart for the society at Christchurch
registered, under the provisions of "The Companies Act,
1882," as the Canterbury Society of Arts, all that parcel of
land, with the buildings thereon, vested in Her Majesty the
Queen, situate in the City of Christchurch, and described in
the Schedule to the herein first-mentioned Act, and also
described in the Schedule hereto, to hold the said land upon
trust as a site for the extension of the present building
erected by the said society on the adjoining land, and to be
used as a public art-gallery and for the promotion of the
fine arts, subject to such terms and conditions as are men-
tioned or referred to in "The Canterbury Society of Arts
Reserve Act 1889 Extension Act, 1891."

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 16·6 perches, being part of Town Section No. 318, in
the City of Christchurch, in the Land District of Canterbury.
Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the east side of
Durham Street, the said point being the south-western
corner of Town Section No. 318; and proceeding thence
northerly along the east side of Durham Street a distance of
102 links to the southern boundary of Town Section No. 317;
thence easterly along the southern boundary of the last-
mentioned section a distance of 102 links; thence at a right
angle southerly a distance of 102 links to the northern
boundary of Town Section No. 319; and thence westerly a
distance of 102 links to the commencing-point: be the afore-
said linkages more or less.

Also all that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 2·4 perches, being part of Town Section No. 319,
in the City of Christchurch, in the Land District of Canter-
bury. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
north side of Armagh Street 87 links east of the intersection
of the eastern side of Durham Street with the said Armagh
Street; and proceeding thence northerly at a right angle to
Armagh Street a distance of 100 links to the southern boun-
dary of Town Section No. 318; thence easterly along the
southern boundary of Town Section No. 318 a distance of
15 links; thence southerly at a right angle to the southern
boundary of Town Section No. 318 a distance of 100 links to
Armagh Street; thence westerly along Armagh Street a
distance of 15 links to the commencing-point: be the afore-
said linkages more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventeenth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.

Fixing Sittings of the Nelson District Court.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in
this behalf enabling me, I, David, Earl of Glasgow,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix
and appoint that sittings of the Nelson District Court, for
civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, in lieu
of those previously fixed and appointed :—

NELSON DISTRICT.

In the Courthouse, Nelson: For civil business only, on
the 25th January, 26th April, 28th June, 27th September,
and 20th December, at 11 a.m.; and for civil and criminal
business, on the 22nd February, 31st May, 30th August, and
25th October, at 11 a.m.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid
shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for
that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being
a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.

Trustees for the Urenui Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries
Act, 1882," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

PATRICK BURKE and
ROBERT PIGOTT

to be Trustees, in the place of Joseph Pigott and Hugh
Irvine, to provide for the maintenance and care of the
Urenui Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other
persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excel-
lency the Governor on the thirty-first day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this seventeenth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-three.
