Sections 448 to 461, broken land, covered with heavy mixed bush, fair soil. Sections 457, 458, and 461 have each between 100 and 200 acres fern land, and the remaining sections from 20 to 50 acres each of open fern land. These lands are situated from sixteen to twenty miles from Wairangi Railway-station, and would make good sheep-farms, as the soil will carry both grass and clover. The sections are well watered by small streams. Section 466, poor rush swamp, with a subsoil of pumice; about four miles from Rangiriri.

Sections 181 to 196A lie about seven miles from Taupiri Railway-station, and are open lands of poor quality except Section 196A, which has about 7 acres scrubby bush. Sections 274 and 275, undulating land of fair quality; about sixteen miles from Wairangi Railway-station. Section 328, undulating fern land; about fourteen miles from Ohinewai Railway-station. Section 478, all more or less deep swamp of good quality, containing flax and about 200 acres of kahikatea bush; at head of Mangawhara River. Section 479, open land of good quality; at head of Matahura River.

Generally undulating fern land or swamp. Section 144A, about 8 acres level, fern and manuka scrub, remainder gully, soil fair, well watered; accessible by road.

These sections are swamp lands, easily drainable, with more or less open fern land in each; they are situated about half-way between Hamilton and Whatawhata, and have evidently been the site of an old kauri forest; adjoin Rotokauri. The improvements (valued at £10) on Section 107A consist of a drain.
